Are you trying to convince yourself or me of this?

What would I be trying to convince anyone of...the fact the truck was sent overseas, as ISIS is using the truck in Syria, correct?

It seems that your trying to imply the US government is behind the truck being in ISIS hands are you not, or else you wouldn't have said it was pertinent to a thread about America supposedly sending troops to create the problems in Bosnia.

America had nothing to do with causing the Bosnian war. You ignorant loudmouths should learn something before you start throwing these kind of accusations around.

The war started because their communist strongman died and a year or so later Slovenia and Croatian declared independence which caused Serbia to attack them to try to hold Yugoslavia together. The war spread to Bosnia a little later and the US didn't get involved until a few years after that, and then it was just air attacks.

If you want a Yugoslavian conspiracy look at the war in Kosovo. America started Bombing Serbia in retaliation and "accidentally" blew up the Chinese embassy.

Uh, I haven't seen this much BS tossed around on ATS in a while. CB328 is the only one here speaking the truth. Let me expound for a moment. When I was a young'n we had an ethnic Albanian transfer to my little town and begin school I didn't get it at the time but I was young and stupid. After we became friends I asked why his father came to America and he told me that it was because President Tito had died and things would degrade quickly. They came to America to avoid all of it.
Fast forward a some years and I find my self in the ARMY rotation that deals with Slobodan Milosevic. It was pretty easy to see who was responsible for what was going on there. The Bosnian Nationals had hunting rifles and homemade guns that we exchanged for food and clothing. The Serbs had tanks, apcs, helos, fighter/bombers. It was pretty much a slaughter. A slaughter which was uncovered mass grave after mass grave. Land mine after land mine.
For the year I was there our interpreters were of all nationalities. They were instructed not to reveal their ethnicity to avoid issues. I, with a few fellow soldiers, used to chat them up intel and one day the subject of how the war started. All four of them said it was because Tito died and everything fell apart.
The Bosniaks paid a heavy price trying to stay neutral.

On 6 October 1991, the Bosnian president Alija Izetbegović gave a televised proclamation of neutrality in the war in Croatia that included the statement: "Remember, this is not our war. Let those who want it to have it. We do not want that war."

Seven later this was the what Serbs had to say:

On 13 October 1991 Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadžić expressed his view about future of Bosnia and Bosnian Muslims: "In just a couple of days, Sarajevo will be gone and there will be five hundred thousand dead, in one month Muslims will be annihilated in Bosnia and Herzegovina".

This entire conflict was about MY god being better than your god and I want your #ty piece of grass too. Standard religious crap. I saw many children pay the price for other people gods. Christian gods. Just like now we see them pay the price for Muslim gods. Then I hear the appologists say "those aren't REAL Christians, or those aren't REAL Muslims." I hate them all equally. I hate them for needing a crutch to deal with life, for blaming others, and the horrors they have bestowed on each other over the centuries in the name of a god. Their god. But mostly, I'll hate them for that little girl that got spread all over a tree going to school and stepping in the wrong spot. I'll hate them for that 8 year old little boy who used to climb up to our retrans site and try to trade us porn for food. I'll hate them for raping that little girl who hugged me and said in her best English: "Thanks you for making war stop."

I'm sorry that devolved into a bit more personal than I'd have wished. Carry on with your lives on comfy mattresses.

a reply to: TelosBut why do people keep forgetting to mention all the things that was done to Serbs during that time? You made it seem like only evil Serbis did the bad things. You keep forgetting that for the war you need at least two sides. If you don't want to recognize that Bosnians and Croatians also did terrible things, then you are just ignorant and fed up by western propaganda during that time.

Listen, I don't doubt for a second that carnage and rape happened on both sides once the war was raging, in fact I know people that have killed on both sides. But Bosnians sure didn't occupy themselves and use Serbian military to lay siege to their own cities, and rocket and shell the cities for months at a time in an attempt at self-extermination.

Croatians didn't invade their own country using Slovenia and Bosnia as staging ground for a tank invasion, using military that formerly belonged to all of Yugoslavia but was appropriated by Serbia.

The sad thing is there will still be a lot of killing, because unfortunately a lot of hatred was created by inhumane actions.

I went back to visit a few years ago and I took a cab from one city in the south to a city in the north, so the cabbie and I had a lot of time to talk. He had lost his entire family in the siege of Sarajevo. He also witnessed a Serb sniper take a head-shot and kill his young daughter in their apartment during a night of truce. Only he survived.

When I met him, he only had one purpose in life, the only thing that kept him living -- he intended to find out the identity of that sniper. He drives a taxi, goes out and hangs out at night like most people there do, but every customer he takes for a drive, every person he meets he asks if they know anything about people who were stationed there. Through his research he told me he was getting close to finding out which company, or perhaps even platoon was stationed there the night of the murder.

That was years ago and a one time encounter, I don't know if he ever found the sniper, I'm not sure I would want him to, but I do understand his desperation, his purpose. Point is, whatever you think happened to Serbs during their occupation, it is possible it's not even over yet. That sniper may be sitting comfy back in Belgrade, when the taxi driver dad comes to collect. It's a sad affair, but not without cause.

"Thank you atheists for not waging wars and committing terrorist attacks in my name."

There was much more to that conflict than religion -- destabilization of early European Union being one of the main reasons, but religion is always the easiest way to get a group of people to hate another group of people.

It still shows that they are Islamist fighters whatever it was an prisoner exchange or not it shows the UN had a major role in hand helping the Islamists in Bosnia. I am not surprised you would even go far as to defend that.

The news report stated the truck had "changed hands many times". Another YouTube poster said, "All those owners and none of them thought to remove the company logo"?

Furthermore, why would a plumbing company use a flatbed truck? Normally they use vans. Why, it's almost as if someone deliberately sprayed a fake American company name on an ISIS vehicle to implicate the CIA. But no, the FSB would never do a thing like that, right?

Actually, I agree with you... it was just a random used truck that ended up in an area where there is a high demand for them. I was just indulging in a bit of creative conspiracy theorizing.

Me two.

That the video is from a news station report about a local companies truck is more compelling. Its presented as a 'debunk' of local clamor about a US truck in the hands of an "enemy of the state".

Not a YouTube private channel generated story.

In my experience, when you want to know what the US Government is really doing, look at the news reports that run denial stories.

Plain and simple. One side was the aggressor (Serbs) and was backed by Europe's fourth largest army(former Yugoslav army). The other side (Bosnians)was an unofficially independent country with no army in place whatsoever. Much less the 4th largest in Europe. The aggressor attacked suddenly with all its might the CIVILIANS of Bosnia. Serbs wanted to kill Islam from the root because they think that Muslims used to be Serbs who converted to Islam 500 yrs ago during the Ottoman Empire. They wanted the whole region to be "Great Serbia" free of all Muslims. Muslims, who I may add, were so far removed from their religion that they were Muslims in name only.

Was in Mostar Bosnia last year. Croatian tour guide (originally from Bosnia) told us som e stuff about the war, stuff you never heard at the time from the BBC. She said many of the jihadis had come from Saudi Arabia, still lived in the mountainous areas of Bosnia
