This can't be possible... Hospitals always post signs at the door indicating that firearms aren't allowed in the building.

Maybe it's this guy?

Prediction Time:

White Male, 30-40 years old, domestic situation.

Resolution: Suicide by cop.
And later on they find out he was on psychotropic drugs.

Almost assuredly. This guy is in Texas. Texas has the worst mental healthcare in the country. He probably isn't on his meds right now.

Or went there to get some other kinds of meds. Drug withdrawals know no bounds. Kidnapping, assault, robbery… murder if they don't 'hurry up'.

Doubtful.

Walgreens is a much easier mark than a hospital.

Think it through. Swat might assault a Walgreens, but probably not a hospital. He's going to get his fix in a hospital. Either that or help kicking the addiction, whatever it is.

Please stop wasting space on this topic. No one who has lived a day in the real world thinks this man is holding the hospital hostage for drugs and neither do you.

HCSO (SWAT) is already on the scene.
Suspect is there with family member.

Jonesing for a fix is unlikely.

Okay, new details in, "he's there with family member". Since Terror in France is wastable space all day long…

Maybe he's wanting a second opinion?

Distressed & armed father taking hostages in a hospital? What could this be about? Maybe he doesn't insurance or it won't cover the medical care?

"This has nothing to do with Obamacare."

It is the law of the land now

Perhaps this is a case similar to the teen recently in the news that is 17 and being forced to have chemo done on her because it is the law of the land.

latest update, the man is upset over his sons treatment...medicine isn't like it used to be. we will see if obama care is a part of this story...my friend spent 3 weeks in the hospital before she died recently....I was there many hours every day....talk with the nurses.....there are not enough workers they and the dr's are so so busy.

used to be if a patient was in pain, the nurse could over ride and give them some pain meds...not any more....they have to keep messaging the doc...not a pleasant sight when someone is in a lot of pain and meds can't be given for a while because they have to get the okay from the doc.

all I know is...takes longer to get appointmenT..before obama care took my friend 2 weeks to see the doc..after takes a month to see the primary which you have to do for the referral, then it took a month to get in to see ob/gyn...then 2 weeks to get scans, but that got pushed back even more because the scan guy got sick

when she was in the hospital her husband called the clinic to let them know she was very ill hospitalized and she would obviously not going to the clinic for anything ...3 hours later...SAME clinic...calls to tell us the doc won't be in that day and need to reschedule.

he was so shocked and yelled at them about his earlier call that day to them...he was so mad.....it is just infuriating

they bought laptops for the drs, never hired any new docs for the increase in patient load...
sorry I went off on a rant...we will find out what triggered this man.
