Boko Haram Rampages, Slaughters in Northeast Nigeria

Boko Haram has gone on an almost unbelievable murderous rampage in Nigeria.

Amnesty International says Friday there are reports the town was razed to the ground and as many as 2,000 people killed, marking "a bloody and disturbing escalation of Boko Haram's ongoing onslaught against the civilian population."

Following its bloody siege on a garrison town, the militant Islamist group Boko Haram has carried out a nearly weeklong massacre in northeastern Nigeria, officials and residents said Friday, creating a gruesome backdrop to the country’s presidential campaign.

The militants that overtook the remote town of Baga on Saturday spent the next days hunting down and killing its residents, survivors said.

Boko Haram considers democracy itself to be "blasphemy"...and they are now demanding that residents of Cameroon reject democracy - or they will face the same kind of consequences as the hapless citizens of Nigeria.

As we have all been riveted by the events surrounding the execution of French Cartoonists (of all things!) by Islamist loons in France...bands of similarly striped killers have been wiping out entire towns in Nigeria!

Nigeria, Somalia, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Libya...mass murders on a nearly daily basis (very often Muslim on Muslim). Canada, United States, Australia, France...all recent victims of Islamic murders.

At some point, I would hope, the free world is going to have to adopt a complete zero-tolerance policy with respect to the spread of this "Islam inspired" (they claiming they are committing these atrocities in the name of that religion, not me) mayhem.

Hate speech by "Imams"...schools teaching radical violent versions of Islam...incitement to violence by Islamic websites...networks designed to recruit and transport Jihadis...supplying weapons and materials to Islamic terrorist groups...transmission of Islamic propaganda (videos, manifestos and the like)...etc. - all need to be made criminal offences globally, and swift action taken to stop these murder networks, and to jail their participants and supporters.

Until then, enjoy the daily murder reports...on increasingly larger scales...while the appeasers and apologists continue to claim there is no identifiable problem - except for Islamophobia, of course.

Hey you know something, the West is busy telling everyone it's a religion of peace, they have a right, all that. Sure, while they bash other religions, total their rights but they allow this stuff to happen.

Let it, people sat back for too long and let this escalate. Enjoy your fanatics of peace, keep appeasing the crocodiles. Maybe in ten years I'll see your head in a pile.

The idea that the West is somehow responsible for violent extremism within Islam is nothing but a smoke screen.

In Afghanistan, the Taliban took over the country to exert its strict (and murderous) version of Islam on the general...Muslim...population.

In Pakistan, their version of Taliban is on a killing campaign with the ultimate goal of taking over the Country and installing strict Sharia Law - which cannot be allowed given they have nuclear weapons!

Sunnis and Shiites kill each other on a regular basis...because they disagree with each other's brand of Islam.

Etc., etc., etc.

I didn't say that I said the West is busy portraying these fanatics as followers of a peaceful religion. While other religions that have been tamed in the past centuries but did commit acts similar to these modern fanatics are demolished by popular culture.

IMO, people buy into their nonsense and believe the media, enjoy your fanatics, in years to come you'll wish there were still the little old Christian/Jewish/Muslim followers around and not roving gangs of fanatics with weapons.
