One says "I will gladly give my life for what I believe" and the other says "I will take another man's life for what I believe"

The difference, is in that. One is willing to give all, one takes what they see as all.

Charb, one of the caricaturists killed today was quoted saying the following after being asked if he was scared of the death threats he recieved.

"I am not afraid of retaliation. I have no kids, no wife, no car, no credit. It perhaps sounds a bit pompous, but I prefer to die standing than living on my knees."

www.lepoint.fr...

The reason I posted this is because whilst I agree with him on his freedom to express stance, the "mentality" of standing your ground for your beliefs mirrors what the other side is professing. Know what I mean?

I certainly do not know what you mean and think your post is complete nonsense.

If you don't see the enourmous difference between using "pen and paper" and using a weapon to stand your ground for your beliefs, you are clueless to reality.

If we don't stamp out these 'Religious' Fanatics from Society, we will see more of the same in other Country's!

The question would be "How does one fight the madness that religions perpetuate?"

If you have the answer to this the world will be a much more peaceful place.

oil pricses already rising???

I always thought that AQ,ISIS, and Hamas, and Hezbollah where Saudi Arabia's, and Irans version of 'blackwater'

Anytime those two wanted to increase their opec bank accounts. Now they have moved to economic warfare by flooding the market with 'cheap' oil.

Wars been declared, and we do nothing about it.

Ban their oil.

Destroy their opium production.

Destroy their child, and sex slave trafficking.

Sanctions all around.

Go after the MONEY.

No wars can be fought without it.

Even 'holy' wars.

This only treats the symptoms.

Religion always seems to survive those types of attacks.

You are so right, we have religious wars, racial wars, cyber-wars, and oil-wars right now, all designed to divide society, when we should stand in unity and get to the roots of all this evil, being corrupt governments!

I did not say "how" they stand their ground is the same, I said the mentality of standing your ground can be seen as a similar thought process in humanity. Their actions and reactions are different and not in question by me. It was meant as food for thought on Human thinking not as a defence of extremists.

I love you th2356, muah muah kissy kissy my lil cranky pants.

I wrote this morning, in another thread, that I see a battle brewing in France.
They burned less cars this year, but are now killing more people instead.

"Fools" meaning the "joker" & editor...

That wasn't intended to apply to the innocent people caught up in the aftermath of their ever so funny humour.

I and all have every right to mpck your religion as I mock all religion.
No one has the right to kill me or others for this.
Islam has a problem and that is extremism.
Thete is NO excuse for what happened today and I bet you see many more cartoons of your prophet after today.

So what's the alternative ?

Killing all the religious folks ?

Locking them up, and throwing the key away ?

The worlds been there done that already. and always ends up as the new boss is same as the old boss.

When the church, and mosque's ruled the world then it was replaced with the new and 'improved' version called government, and it's 'morality'.

The answer is easy.

Just show people how it's their own thoughts that cause them to be angry, not anything in the outside world.

The question is how to make money from this. There is more money in anger.

Wanting to speak your mind through words or cartoons and wanting to kill someone, are two competely different thought prosesses. You must live in some alternate, bizrro universe.

I don't love you, and please keep your childish, icky kisses to yourself, thanks.
