Am I missing something? The Darwin Award is given to someone extremely stupid, who committed a really stupid act that resulted in his/her passing thereby improving the human gene pool.

The problem with the human gene pool is that there are no lifeguards.

I and all have every right to mpck your religion as I mock all religion.

Yes there is no doubt that even the immature have that right & deservedly so.

They also have the right to be rewarded with the Darwin Award.

Going around shooting people, and strapping a bomb on to oneself to kill infidels to get in to heaven to get 72 virgins is the epitome of winning the darwin award.

Dam you! You made me chock on my drink!

It would be ignorant of me not to answer these people's questions, I don't see it as taking the bait.

I don't think anything about it until I hear all the facts about the attack.

What I have said is in reference to why it may have occurred.

False flag didn't come to mind because I do believe that extremists would do something like this.

Your continued adherence to pseudo-psychology has no basis in reality.

Explain how you think people become offended.

Is it because they give meaning to something or not?

People choose to be offended because they choose the meanings they give to things.

Can you give me just ONE example where this isn't true?

Just one.

Waiting patiently. I'll go make a cup of tea while you ponder your reply.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but intentionally offending people who come under the bracket of extremists with an ignorant cartoon...

It kinda defined exactly what you just said.

Just one, you say?

How about intentionally offensive material?

Your pseudo-psychology really has no foundation in the real world whether you want it to or not.

How is that answering the question?

The question was, give me just ONE example of how somebody can be offended without choosing a meaning to give something.

Somebody sees a cartoon. Then they have to give the cartoon meaning.

Is that true or not?

While it's the epitome, it's not the entirety.

I'm still waiting for people to tell me what positive change the joker & the editor had on the people who were affected by their decisions.

I do agree with you though.

If it made even one Muslim stop and think about the reactions of their fellow Muslims ... in truth, then it was very positive.

If this man's life, through his death, saves a few human beings from a person who - instead of embracing extremism - turned away from it, then indeed his life was lived exactly the way it should have been lived.

The 'entirety' is that Islam needs to come out of the dark ages.

I don't get why 'moderate' muslims identify themselves with the slime of humanity RADICAL islamo fascists.

Hell as a 'christian' most of us call out our 'brothers' like the Westboro Baptist Church for the idiots they are.

And when we do it's not an attack on Christianity.

We attack STUPID.

Sorry, but I do not see that as doing something stupid. I see that as an exercise in freedom. Once again, you are blaming the victim for the perpetrators of the violence.

I suppose you blame women for rape? Children for pedophilia?

Just because a woman dresses provocatively is no excuse for rape. An excuse for an opinion on said state of dress, sure...but not rape.

When one takes humor and commits actions such as what was done is twisted. No matter how distasteful the humor.

I cannot believe you condone and excuse such actions. The thinking is whacked...totally.

Q: What do you get when you cross Muhammad with a pig?
A: Nothing, because there are some things that a pig won't even do.

As I have done on both sides of this argument...

Others are choosing to see some sort of enlightened genius defending their rights...

I see a fool who got other people killed because they thought they were funny.

So u haven't watched the video?

And yes u are taking the bait. They understand where u are comming from. They just want to argue about it because the keeps us off topic

This is the perfect false flag because teerorists would do it that makes it sooooo easy to lay blame elsewhere

Yes...Islam needs to leave the Dark Ages .. very much so.

I find it disquieting at the least, disgusting at the most that main stream Islam does not denounce this crap.

I once asked a waitress if the restaurant served breakfast at any time. She responded yes.

So I ordered french toast during the Renaissance......

Because you don't choose the meaning of an intentionally offensive statement...
The one who makes the statement intentionally gives it the meaning.

Your definition is pseudo-psychology at its finest.

I think the reason that more moderate muslims don't speak out against the extremists in the religion is that the religion itself does not allow them to do so. I think there is something in the Quran that says a muslim cannot speak against a fellow muslim. Also, cowardice may prevent them from putting their life on the line by doing so. If I call you out for being an extreme Westboro-type baptist christian, I don't have to worry about you hunting me down and chopping my head off. OTOH, a moderate muslim may feel they have to watch their back if they have said something derogatory about "Habib Abdul Mohammed's" words and actions.

Dude...you seriously should review what you have posted. You have, in effect, in every way laid the blame for the murders at the feet of the victims.

They exercised their rights of freedom.... they committed no crimes. Yet you seem to believe they are responsible for their deaths. There is no other way to paint it.

Either the cartoonists were responsible for their own murders...or they weren't.

Either women are responsible for their own rapes....or they are not.

It's either or...if there is a third option, then please elaborate.
