With a capital T.

Another 6.6 just hit a few minutes ago, after the first one some 100 km north of there back on December 8.

Here is a 30 day from USGS:

We've seen this before. You all have watched me make the warnings, several times, and then bam. Big one.

And not only are we due for a bigger quake any time now statistically, here we have a formidable subduction zone possibly giving us the warning signs. Two quakes that size, violating the 1.5 mag differential rule. This means the chances they are foreshocks to a big one increase greatly. How many more times we gotta go through this?

So I am sounding the alarm bell. That is dangerous activity.

Well Violet, let's hope not. But another 5.0 just hit, just south of this latest 6.6:

earthquake.usgs.gov...

That means stress points all along that fault are beginning to break. Let's hope it's just an aftershock, and will subside.

EDIT: Target acquired, and now monitoring live with me rig.
Previous seismic amplitudes measured and stored, for any future activity, I can now estimate Mag.

I have been watching the PNW for some time.

Been keeping an eye on the whole "Ring of fire" It has (to Me) been very quiet.

It has seemed to slowly start to pick up. (Should we be paying more attention to what the sun is doing?) (Or what it's gonna do?)

Just some thoughts
