Just felt a pretty big one, relatively, to the recent ones! Holy crap!

I'll update once it hits USGS but that one was a bit scary...

It was a 3.6 in nearly the same spot as the 3.5 earlier today. It certainly felt much stronger and lasted at least 4 seconds.

We had a 3.5 earlier today that felt like a hiccup compared to this one. There's actually a crack in one of the sheet rock panels here at the house.

My friend in Irving is texting me and says that a couple earthquakes just happened. Are these quakes aftershocks or are these foreshocks before a much bigger one?

Very shallow quakes.
3.5 will feel like a 5 in some places.

Stay Safe.

Yeah, I saw it show up on USGS.

It certainly felt much stronger than the earlier 3.5... the duration was definitely longer.

Brings back bad memories of the 3.5 to 4.7 frackquakes we had here a few years ago.

I hope for your sake that this is as large as they get there!!!!!

the scale is exponential. 3.6 is substantially more powerful than a 3.5. add to that the shallow nature and the weird geology under most of the middle third of the united states. you can feel a quake you have no right to feel 3 states away from where it happened.

Didn't the new state government just take over in Texas today?

I thought Christians looked for signs.

Were you jumping on the bed at the time?

I live in Addison as well and it would have been hard to miss that one. The last couple quakes we've had in this area were easy to miss but this one was noticeable.

DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS - Lol...really I must be earthquake proof, cause I still haven't felt anything, but my doggies did start howling earlier - thought it was the cat next door invading their backyard!

I just went and looked up the EQ history for Dallas and found this link:
www.homefacts.com...

Looks like up until today,
the biggest in the last 6 years was a 3.4 in November of last year.
Also according to the link, you have a 0.01% chance of a 7.1 EQ there, and nothing stronger although a 7.1 would be bad.
Anyways, kind of a cool link,
I didn't realize Dallas had been shaking a little for as long as it has been.
A lot of 2's since 2008.
(that is as far back as the history goes on the link)

HA! maybe the cocktail vino has already kicked in!

Have you y'all seen Anything on local, like channel 8 or 4?

These little episodes around here are getting kinda scarey...if I wanted to live in Cali, I would.
