Second suspected Ebola cas in the UK is a little to close to home for my liking.

I appologise for yet another Ebola thread but this one for me has a personal note.

Until now in my mind Ebola was a third world problem and the threat to the UK/USA was nothing more than goverment fear mongering and MSM sensationalism to drive up profits.

After reading that the second suspected case in the UK is just under a mile from me and my family has put something of a different take on things.

Would this situation change your views if you were one of the many sceptics out there?

No, i was treated in the same hospital as an ebola patient. My wife and friends came to visit me there, ond not one of them picked it up

I am not suggesting I should start to panick but that an opinion can change when something goes from being on the internet to on your doorstep.

I am going out on a limb and calling false alarm. Given that we had a confirmed case the other day and the patient in question had been in Sierra leone I imagine it's just over catious.

It does not suprise me that they were taken to Swindon, it is the unofficial testing ground for trials in the UK, hense the magic roundabout and other crazy schemes that do not work.

This is actually the third suspected case in the UK. The second was in Exeter at the end of December.

I stand corrected, I misread the artice, It claimed that if confirmed it would be the second actual case n the UK.

Hmmm this whole Ebola thing hasnt got me worried "yet"....

When the numbers in the UK jump each day then ill take note, for now Ill stick to my normal routine bahah. Which may I add largley includes staying inside

As I said I was of exactly the same opinion until a suspected case was transferred to my local hospital!
