We always have multiple choices, we might not like them. Or the consequences but we always have choices.

Even if you think that tptb control everything you still have choices to make. People just don't like the options on the table because they are hard and could lead to their death.

There's a difference between a meaningless choice and a meaningful choice. Majority of our choices in modern day society are meaningless.
