Ummm...I've often wondered about what it means to be filled and how void meditation juxtaposes being filled with the premise of...no thought...or
emptiness...
I've also chosen to find expression in a short story form that often uses meter and rhyme...or a more prosaic version much preferred in today's
form...
I prefer Rhyme and meter as it presents a greater challenge...yet for this short poetic story I use an example of prose...
I hope you enjoy...
Full Nothing
The most filled thing, is an empty thing
Self limiting
Thus a thing most empty...full
Take an empty vessel
Fill it with substance and fulfill it's purpose
While limiting it's potential
A blank page holds more virtue
Than one filled with the best of intention
Blank pages are neither blank...or empty
Rather, they overflow with promise and potential
All things are present on a blank slate
When filled...in the end
They can only contain limitation
Regardless of the topic, form...or point
As I stated previously...now I have achieved nothing but limitation in this space...in this thread...on this site...

My apologies...Edit to add: I wrote this in 1999 after spending some months at a Buddhist retreat...a large part of me wishes I had
stayed...
