Hello finally. Lurked for 10 years

Hi every one. I've been reading your stuff for a decade. I love reading about conspiracy theories. I've hesitated signing up though, because people here are so smart, I felt intimidated. But I've spent so much time here, I felt it was time to join. I've been feeling weird "vibes" most of my life, then a few years back I heard about empaths. I believe I am one. Not psychic, LOL. I can tell how some people are feeling, I can absorb my family members emotions, & some negative folks drain me dry. I have a pretty good intuition for directions too. Other than that, I'm a homemaker, raising my grandson & taking care of my recently disabled hubby. I like to read, watch TV, cook, & forward inspirational messages to all my friends. j/k Also trying to teach myself to crochet & my house is haunted by a cat. Looking forward to meeting some like minded (or not) people.

Empathy is based in science, not pseudoscience. Emotional states are demonstrably "contagious." I'm sure you're tuned in, and just as smart as anybody else.

Welcome to the site. I wouldn't even want to learn to crochet. I have obsessive compulsive and perfectionist tendencies. Scarves do not have to be sixty feet long and capable of towing a car.

From the title I was expecting an account that was created 10 years ago but never posted until today, however I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm rather new myself, but I feel like I fell right into place. You will too, I'm sure. The #1 rule is to be yourself. Don't try to fake intelligence or education in something you have none just to appear smarter in an online debate. As someone already pointed out, there are smart people here and then there are people who just want to appear smart. You'll learn to spot the difference rather quickly.

Other than that, hope to see you posting now that you've taken the big step!

Congrats on finally joining, some of the members really go out of their way to make you feel at home here. Really good people, most of them .But looking forward to reading some of your posts. I was raised by my grandparents, I feel a connection already .

I'm a newb here, having joined yesterday, as well, but it's lovely to meet a fellow empath!

I encourage you to continue to learn to crochet. Youtube has some pretty good tutorials and once you learn, it's a lot of fun to while away time during winter while you watch TV.
