He gave his answer on Question Time, he's a comedian, not a politician.

I'm totally with you on this one.
Vote UKIP = Disaster
This from 'The Tory Diary'

"UKIP is not a friend of its poorest voters. UKIP is doing particularly well in more disadvantaged parts of Britain that haven’t done well during the global recession or indeed during the preceding years when less skilled work lost much of its market value. Its tax policies won’t benefit the lowest-paid workers, however. 85 per cent of the benefit of its policy to increase the starting rate of income tax will go to the top half of earners"

He was a banker and from a privileged background. If the "common people" think he's going to change or expose anything in their favour they are sadly mistaken............again.

Yes mate, its much like how the armed forces recruits from poor neighborhoods, many people who feel disenfranchised see it as a solution or way out, however misguided.

Theres also the simple fact it is legitimizing people who harbor racist sentiment but would never otherwise be open about it. This is a particularly fine quote from earlier.

Whites cannot get jobs in the NHS because most go to immigrants.....

Yeah definitely no hint of racism from this definitely not racist gentleman, just a bit "I believe in controlling immigration but definitely not racist."
