In the "Western World" we tend to be so self-absorbed with our own little problems. First world problems. We forget that we are but a tiny, tiny part of the human race, and that we are so completely clueless about what goes on around the world and in peoples' lives... I am one of about 7 billion people. That is 1 in 7 000 000 000 people. Not to forget those who lived before me. I am nothing, and my life is extremely average and mediocre...
The question is what will I do with this information? What is my legacy?

Well, that's what I took from the photographs...

Really something to ponder - 29 breathtaking photographs of the human race.
Try to take it all in. Imagine living those lives...

Seeing others cultures in person will remove boxed-in self-absorption. So much is missing in a photograph, that it is a very limited way of understanding humanity. Cultural immersion works in this respect, and something that the photographs leave out is learned—that we are all very similar in behavior and hospitality, despite the differences in our looks and politics.
