That really sucks

May he find a quick path back to home, leave this madness, and chaotic planet behind forever.

Thanks Joe for your heartfelt music and soul.

Peace,

RT

I cannot find the words to adequately express my grief. He was one of the greats. Rest in peace, Mr. Cocker.

I knew him mainly for his rendition of With A Little Help From My Friends (exceptional backing vocals).

Best version hands down, casually blowing The Beatles original out of the water.

RIP mate.

RIP Joe, you will be sorely missed. I took over my father's, 'Mad Dogs and Englishmen' album, and played it to death.

Dammit dammit dammit.

I love Joe Cocker, grew up with his music... just seen him in concert with Tom Petty 2 years ago.

Oh man, hubby is going to bawl his eyes out when I tell him this horrid news.

May the legend live on.

FYI: Mine and hubby's love song is Joe's "You Are So Beautiful"... that's how much we are huge fans of his.

Ugh, this is so heartbreaking.

Can we add him to the ATS list of people who died and you thought were already dead? I swear he died years ago!

Rest in Peace Joe Cocker.

Another star has returned to the universe.
What a year.

I was going to post a Joe Cocker song, but you all seem to be doing a fine job,
and everything I would of posted is already here.

Worked as a security liaison for Mr. Cocker one night.

Doing this sort of work, dealing with eccentric famous types, one picks up a knack for determining which of them still view themselves as part of humanity and which ones believe they have transcended to demigod status. After decades in the spotlight Joe Cocker was still a human being, a gentleman, and a great artist.

He shakes hands, makes eye contact, and appreciates the 'little' people that make his job possible.

Just wanted to say this because the same cannot be said of most in the biz.

Thanks for the memory Joe, here's to hoping I can watch your back again someday at that Big Jam in the sky.
