I just had to buy a suit and I am not happy about it at all.

Stupid shiney fitted thing it is as well. All tight fitting and stylish.

And a stupid smart shirt with buttons not just on the suit but on the collar and then some other stupid buttons underneath the collar as well?

And some stupid shiney black shoes that you actually have to undo the laces to take off, and there a bit pointey at the end stupid damn things.

And a belt, a stupid shiney belt with a stupid shiney buckle.

And I had to shave my beard, my perfectly good wintertime inbuilt warming protection from the cold.

And I had to have a proper haircut.

I hate weddings, I love my friends but I hate weddings.

I feel utterly violated stood here making sure I am ready for tommorow.

And I still look like a scruffy tramp that has lost there dog on a peice of string.

He he he. I feel for you.

Which is why I chose, barefoot, summer dress, in the backyard. While the guys wore jeans and a nice top.
Got more compliments on the wedding than I could believe.

Cheer up. It's just one day!

I don't understand why you feel the need to adjust your appearance for a wedding. It will probably end in divorce anyway.

Suits are the best.

But with that said if you didn't get to select it yourself, that's a shame.

Nothing better than putting on a suit.

I have a grey one that goes with my grey suede Ralph Lauren shoes.
It's a suave look.

I have been to lots of weddings but usually more hippy happy go lucky types, A great celebration of two people becoming a family and I love that.

This one though I just know is going to be a nightmare for me but I will smile and endure and try not to pull at my tie and colar too much.

As you say it's just one day.

I don't thought thats the point!

Imagine a politician trying to dress casual to appear like he's one of the everyday folk enjoying a barbeque wearing jeans.

I am the opposite of that squirming awfullness. It is just wrong.

Awe man; I wear a suit every [work] day by choice. Nothing wrong with dressing nice the way I see it. And the ladies love it.

You will catch me in full fatigues and combat boots on the weekend though... Probably a little preferable in my off time.

I would usually agree but they have been together for 15 years and have 2 kids, they have been trying to get married for years but with boilers exploding, roofs collapsing and the like it has always been put on the back burner untill tommorow.

Just for the record; same guy ( may or may not be yours truly >_> ):

ETA: The suit doesn't make the man. The man makes the suit.

I just don't suit a suit.

I look and feel like a man that should not be wearing a suit.

I look like I stole the suit and came in through a side door.

I would most proberbly be ejected from my own wedding.

Eh..nothing better than a sharp dressed man.
I love getting a new suit.
My last suit is so sharp it would give Donald trump a run for his money.

I say enjoy looking good....buy a nice cologne to go with it.

It goes well with matching color shiney shoes....

It does go well together yes, everything looks really good together.

It is a well coordinated set up.

Until you add me into the mix.

I am the wrong element in the otherwise great outfit. I look like a knob.

Did you also have to navigate the mine fields of stupid pricing on men's suiting? Like buy one (at triple price) and get one free or some other such BS?

Or did you go to Kohl's and find it "marked down" to the same as full price everywhere else?

It'd be cool if you were to post some pics of the big day on the members photo thread.

I am in the UK so got lucky and got it cheap in the sales.

It's no saville row job by a long shot but given that I am unlikley to wear it ever again it was not to bad for what is essentialy a disposable item.

You are more likely to see pictures of bigfoot with a rifle on the grassy knoll than me in this stupid suit.

Im now going go break a pair of scissors and crushing a razor out of respect for your loss of face fur!!
