Hey, I spend a lot of time ignoring information that conflicts with my point of views. There's nothing funny or humorous about that.

It's funny that you accuse me of putting words in your mouth when my mouth can't take much more of what you're stuffing into it. (Easy now boys.)

You've done almost nothing but put words in my mouth, or accuse me of supporting socialists, or ask me if I support Obama killing babies somehow.

You're cute. I like you. Let's snuggle.

I never accused you of being a socialist... I asked if you were a socialist...

BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!

I said... Who are you defending... Communists, socialists?

Then everyone accuses me of calling Obama a communist...

It was sarcasm...

You understand sarcasm, right?

"I like you, let's snuggle"

THAT (you're snuggle statement) was a straight up insult. It also was kind of immature (no offense, but it was. you know it)

Sorry that I do not return the favor.

I don't care enough about you to come up with an insult.

You support Obama in one thing therefore you support all ideologies associated with him by anybody, that is a fact.

By the way you're not really Misaka, she is a fictional character so that's a lie from you.

Now see, what I said in my previous post "You're cute, I like you. Let's snuggle". THAT was sarcasm. (Kinda, I still wanna snuggle dernit.)

Your "sarcasm" was hidden in a rambling post about how I'm part of the problem, so sorry if I missed it.

Let's get back on topic, though, eh? Forum etiquette aside, Obama made the right call here. Regardless of how you view the president on the his past actions, the fact is he did well here.

Of course, it's your choice whether or not you praise him for it. I did.

You didn't, that's fair. You're allowed your own opinion.

I went back and re-read everything...

You avoided every one of my questions, and turned this into a pissing contest.

You have been defending Obama this WHOLE thread, and yet you claimed that you disagree with 90% of everything he does (which is far more than what I disagree with when it comes to Obama, but who cares), and you claimed you were here to give a "golf clap" at the fact that "he did something right... FOR ONCE"...

And I am supposed to believe that a person who disagrees with 90% of everything Obama does is defending Obama tooth and nail to someone who only disagrees with about half of what he does, and that is all supposed to make sense somehow...

I AM FAR FROM ANGRY

I am amused.

Will you answer my Janitor question, since you rejected the child killer question?

The janitor question is fair.

If you weren't able to understand that the snuggle comment was sarcasm, and you thought that your comment about Obama being a Socialist Communist was sarcasm, I have a feeling that your grasp of what sarcasm is has a real flaw in it somewhere.

Besides, dude. You aren't arguing the right side of this. Since I like to mix it up a little bit, maybe I can help you stir the pot and come at this from another angle.

How about.. instead of Obama coming out IN FAVOR of free speech, he is actually coming out AGAINST free speech by telling Sony that they are WRONG to do and say what they did.

Who the hell is HE to tell Sony how to act if they aren't violating any laws, right?

OBAMA IS TRYING TO CURB SONY'S FREE SPEECH!

I defended Obama in this thread because this thread is SOLELY about his comments on the Sony Hacking news, and not anything else. If this had been a thread on Obamacare, I'd be right there with you screaming (maybe not so loudly) that it's terribly flawed and needs to be re-written or discarded entirely.

Can you remind me of your Janitor question? I forgot half of what you said, honestly. I promise to answer it honestly.

I watched this and although i agree with him.. he didn't lose any time
in telling us how the tubz need to be regulated.. as it is like the
"Wild West" he said.

it's not a false flag but it is another nail in the coffin of a reasonably "free" Internet.
I see legislation on the cards really soon!

I really hope you're wrong, but I can see the signs as well. I hope the American people take a stand on a free and open internet. It wouldn't really affect me much here in Japanland, but I'd feel for my friends and family back home.

Though, if they do tighten internet in the US, that would mean I'd need to change the proxy I use to talk here.

One thing’s for sure…. They will make and release a movie about this incident.

Regarding this statement by Obama. I don’t think it was particularly wise for him to make it.

Here’s why

What if they do release it and an incident occurs

That would make it look like this was a provocative operation BY THE US.

In this article it shows that the state department and a past member of the CIA was involved with the movie and its possible blowback.

www.thedailybeast.com...

A spokesman for the State Dept. later admitted that Daniel Russel, Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, had a conversation with Sony executives but vaguely denied having any direct influence on the creative direction of The Interview. The spokesman also said that Ambassador King “did not view the movie and did not have any contact directly with Sony.”
But an email dated July 10 from Ambassador King to Bennett (who then forwarded it to Lynton), says otherwise. The email included a link to a story about North Korea lodging a formal protest at the United Nations against the film, including North Korean UN envoy Ja Song Nam’s claim that allowing The Interview to be released constitutes “the most undisguised sponsoring of terrorism as well as a war action.”

I have a date with some friends later today and I want to be bright-eyed and bushytailed for it. We're going Yukata shopping for christmas! Maybe there will be cake. Mmm, cake.

Anyway, I REALLY DO PROMISE to answer your Janitor question honestly. Send me a U2U. Have a good morning/night/whatever time it is in the US!

Ugh, I understood the snuggle comment was sarcasm (scientificrailgun could confirm that, if she wants to), it was also an insulting comment as well. She kind of apologized...

You say, I don't understand sarcasm...

I think, you may have trouble reading...

I asked her...

"You understand sarcasm, right?"

Then I made reference to her snuggle comment...

As in, I KNEW IT WAS SARCASM!

Now, my sarcasm... I was going to note that it was sarcasm in the post in question, but I did not... My fault.

K?

I see more of a collaboration between the Western countries.. so it would effect
many more countries than the US.. hope I'm wrong.. i like a chaotic internet.

For the first time I can applaud the President for his position.
Well said President Obama!

That said, it would probably have been more beneficial if he privately contacted Sony executives soon after the terrorist threat was issued and offered them some re-assurance that the threat was baseless and encouraged them to carry on business as usual and release their movie.

Again, I appreciate his sentiments on free speech, etc.., but he could have mitigated the problem if he acted sooner..

Just my thoughts..

So a sitting president makes a stand for Freedom of Speech, and you deride him for it.

Just making sure we're clear here.

If this has already been said, I apologize, I haven't read through all the pages. What I wanted to say is this: Where was Obama on video blamed for the Benghazi attack: Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, the filmmaker behind the Innocence of Muslims.

And for the record, it's been almost a month since Sony received the first email. Obama could have spoken up ANY time but he waits until he's got one foot out the door and Sony pulls the movie because no movie theater will play it and then he gives his message. Great timing.
