Very nice!

Thanks for sharing and showing kind of how you are doing it.
I find that interesting in itself,I like to see how others do their stuff,
great job on the painting so far!

One question, how big is the painting?

I could do a paint by numbers art project and it would end up looking like something napoleon dynamite painted.
It can be frustrating....

The jaguar looks great, but the tree, branches and leaves could use more detail. They're fine in and of themselves, but when compared to the more detailed jaguar, it seems off. It seems to me like two different artistic styles in one piece. Also, I'm not sure if it's unfinished, but I don't like how the leaves abruptly end at that one branch.
Now that I take another look, the jaguar's eyes are maybe a little too dark yellow, and the pupils could be a bit bigger.

Just an honest opinion since you asked. All in all, I do like it.

I am not done yet, but I go agree with all your observations. The I have done nothing on the tree yet, and the leaves should be completed as well. I have realized that the eyes need more detail, maybe just a bit more white to bring it out, bring more life into it.

But thanks for your comments, it is appreciated!

Nice photo!

Did you go to school for art? Or is this all self taught?

Actually I studied Graphic & Web Design. But I am currently taking lessons from a local artist, three years now.
But it would appear that I have a natural talent for oil painting. This is my 4th painting.
