Im watching 7 too, im wondering is that door (the side door) a door directly in to the Cafe??? Or is there another between that and getting in there?

it would be on the side street. there are two entrances into the cafe. it looks like the fire door that is a couple of feet from the glass door into the cafe.

Perhaps the Police managed to negotiate with the terrorist.

Perhaps someone got stabby.

Yeah. Or the people just got lucky...

So much speculation

We don't know the circumstances behind their escape.

If i was offered the chance to be released, i'd take it.

If i was afforded the chance to escape, i'd take it.

Screw being stuck in a cafe with some nutter. Besides, the guy that ran out was an employee, he could provide some important intelligence to the police.

3 guys. they may have escaped for all we know rather than being released.

If 50 people are in there it would be hard for one or two guys to keep an eye on everyone.

The employee coming from fire escape or other door was followed by armed police?? Did anyone else see that. I should add an officer seemed to run out of building with employee.

And yet the Aussie PM still refuses to call this as having any link to terrorism.

Within about 30 minutes of the attack on the war memorial in Canada last month, Stephen Harper was calling it an act of terror.

I guess the Australians are a little more careful.

So you're positive there were your preferred ages and gender immediately in the escapees' vicinity? So absolutely sure? You are in fact not, stop being so damned sanctimonious, you have absolutely zero idea if people are still mingled away from those forced to the windows, or separated/segregated.

I have tried a number of live news sources out of Sydney and found ABC with the best throughput, so thought I would put it out.

I know it's the internet and it will sound like BS, but I don't think I'd be leaving until everyone else did. Maybe if I had a kid or something.
