On MSNBC, a U.S. Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA, 14th District) said the CIA should apologize to terrorists.

This is in response to the released report from the Senate CIA investigation that outed some torture and a few other things.

She was asked the "apologize" question by the MSNBC host.

She also commented that an arrogance exists within the CIA.

Dem Rep: America Should Apologize To Terrorists

“Every single page had something in the executive summary that shocked me,” the California Democrat said. “Whether it was the rehydration anally or keeping them sleep deprived for one-hundred and eighty hours with their hands over their head in shackles. That is not what this country is about and we have got to shut this down.”

When asked if the CIA should issue an apology, Speier replied “Absolutely.”

She seemed less inclined, however, to speculate on just how likely that outcome would be. “There’s an arrogance that exists within the CAI that has to be reined in,” Speier said. “I would certainly hope that they would recognize that, with some soul-searching, that they have got to come clean on this.”

Apologize ?

or Let it go as a Warning?

Correction: should apologize for torturing people that are alleged terrorists but have never actually stood trial, even a pretend one.

Can you define what a terrorist is?

Way to take a story WAY out of context with your own twisted spin to it.

I have no idea.

And I stayed neutral in the OP didn't I.

Blind rage causes mis-reads.

No apologies are necessary, as always karma will take care of it sooner or later.

No evil ever really goes unanswered, no one ever really gets away with it.

If anything, apologize to humanity for dragging an entire country into the evil abyss...

Should we apologize for torturing humans?

Absolutely.

Torture is wrong.
Torture is wrong.
Torture is wrong.

Continue repeating that until you are a human being again.

They should do whatever it takes to create an open dialogue with these people.

The Liberty Eagle is where this jewel came from.

In their eyes terrorists are just liberals from another country.

You claim that you stayed neutral...

But you said this...

On MSNBC, a U.S. Representative Jackie Speier (D-CA, 14th District) said the CIA should apologize to terrorists.

...& nowhere did she say this.

You GOP supporters are desperate for everyone to ignore this.
Where you fail is to keep making threads about it, where you will be met with fierce criticism from all walks of Life for your sympathetic approach.

I'm "on the fence".

An "apology" would benefit who?

Perhaps not a bad idea.

America, FYI has nothing to do with the CIA.
Or the industrialized military complex. IMC.
So I don't owe any of those I've mourned over
including dead children, JFK, RFK and MLK just
to name a few.

I put the largest amount of distance between myself and them as possible.

Not in your opening post you didn't...
Which says to me that you consider the ones deserving of an apology terrorists.

That's the word you used, am I right?

You can clearly see from the article that context has been well and truly trampled on by the source...
Yet you did nothing to rectify that in your OP.

I'm talking to a brickwall, am I not?

It'll be fun to see where this thread goes at least.

This goes on and on. It's a report. Do we even really know that these things happened? Do we have proof or just people talking?

For all we know this is a scare tactic by the U.S. being used against potential terrorists.

And really, since 9/11...nothing has happened.

On topic: Apologize to who? Anyone and everyone could be labeled a terrorist these days.
