It is still timing out, so I copy whatever im posting, and if it times out, then I paste the material, before it can time me out.

It's continuing, and looking at the ' Attack Traffic' app (thanks to intrptr) there seems to be heavy use in California and UK, and some in Mainland Europe. In fact most of the southern part of the US, over 1.6 million attacks per hour.

Now when suddenly I was redirected via an url similar to the below, going back to check history, I was redirected to this 404, url's still weird. Is it ddos-mitigation related or is it something more sinister? The site's been slow all day long and I haven't bothered to wait around much, I hope things get sorted. Kudos to admin and a great site.

==> Notice the weird syntax in the url.

ATS is being hacked by elite peados due to the increase in threads about such scum.

Either that or you shouldn't have let Anonymous group join.

Firefox and Chrome are both showing issues.

The Boss is probably EXTREMELY busy right now but he always let's us know what's going on.

er...has HE Let you know anything yet...I mean this has been going on for about 12 hours now from when I first came on at least..rather disappointing. Deny ignorance...

Where is the Boss...has he been recalled to Langley? Was he abducted by Aliens? Has the Pope got to him too? (see the thread of inclusiveness of animals - ATS you get to go to heaven too)

It looks like everything is either back to normal now, or will be very shortly for everyone.

I couldn't get a flight. It's pretty much chaos there now because of the torture report.

The "torture report" used to try to generate anti american warmongering.
As though it is not as repugnant to every human regardless of race.
Are you not going to tell the members who is hacking ATS?

Scottsdale I still do not agree to your terms and conditions.
PS loved the dumbed down look you guys are using "exposing BS by releasing one turd at a time" ...
Classy, wise and intelligent

Hmm..good to see you're still around...oh wait a minute..how do I know you haven't "body doubled" swapped?
Can any super mod verify if this is the real SO. Was the DDOS just a ruse.

Well done admin, great work on getting the site back up!

==> www.digitalattackmap.com...

I've been watching digitalattackmap.com since I first noticed this shambles here at ATS. Aside from ATS, and the problems we have seen here, there are currently (and it's lasted for days apparently) persistent and massive ddos floods routed against Peru. Now why would that be? Peru? Turns out Peru is hosting the world climate conference these days, in Lima:

==> unfccc.int...

The 20th session of the Conference of the Parties and the 10th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol is taking place from 1 to 12 December.

Could this be relevant to what ATS has been through the last 36 hours or so? I fail to being able to see a connection other than that USA as far as I know is not part in the Kyoto protocol, and seeing it seems most related debates around the climate issue here at ATS are of the skeptic kind to use an understatement. Anyone?

Big traffic spike.

DDoS mitigation kicked in. All is well. Carry on.

Yes, you had everything under control, whahaha.

Last night's attack was twice the level of what's seen in that graph, and beyond the scope of our hosting provider's automated DDoS mitigation. It took down a switch on their network.

Agreed, when I looked at Akami last night around 9.0pm there were near 1.7Million attacks registered, the UK was high too, but most were the southern, from west to east half of the US.
Should say good work getting going again, there are also four or five other sites still down .
