I don't blame you one bit for saving the poor little guys life. The whole rectum extended definitely would have struck me as intestinal parasites. He owes his life to you....

Dogs....God's crack "Hey, wanna try some of this?"...

And there is no initiative, I rolled a nat 20....so sorry...

His butthole stuck out past his coxyxx (?). I had to dig out the hair and gunk so it wouldn't become impacted. My ex wouldn't but has to now that she won't let me see him. For now. Damn they can collect a lot of hair under their assbone!!! So I get the thing about impacted tails...

Yes, please stop breeding these ugly, inbred dogs. Probably the ugliest dog breed out there.

Hmm. Interesting response from someone who refers to the bible in their own avatar.

So, to you, ugly and inbred. Probably the ugliest breed out there.

Care to offer up a photo or two of your offspring and we could compare them to the average bulldog ?

I'd put my girl Tonka up against something that you gave birth to, any day of the week.

I wouldn't call them ugly but no one should breed a dog born into pain.
In fact it is getting to the point no dog should be a pedigree...mongrels live longer and are genetically more sound than any pedigree.

A bibliophile is someone who loves books, not Bibles.

Bulldogs are ugly. Get used to it. It's the truth.

Alright. I'm going to say this one last time.

I did NOT say to breed them. I VERY SPECIFICALLY said to RESCUE them.

Zowie! You nailed me on that one. I gotta hand it to you.

But I still wager that your loved ones wince and close their eyes when they hug you.

How about those photos?

I like mongrels. They are healthier and have more character.

I'm no beauty, to be sure. That's why I'm allowed to call a spade a spade.

You'll always be a friend, boymonkey...
but there will always be a demand for breeds of dog, especially in the US. I'm not saying it is right, and my next dogs will be rescues and unfortunate it is. But that is the way of things.

I commend anyone who looks after these dogs and help them have a better life but the breeders are the problem and until people learn that having a pedigree dog (in many cases) is not good for them nor the genetic future of dogs as a whole.
I blame stuff like crufts and dog shows, the judges demand genetic imperfections which are just for looks which cause the dog to be genetically broken.

That is such a RUDE thing to say to someone... But my guess is that you already know that. You're just being mean...

My pure-bred dogs are actually healthier than both my mixes, because their entire pedigree was tested for the issues Shepherds are known to have. You're grouping all purebred dogs together and there's a huge difference between a reputably-bred dog and a backyard bred dog or one from a puppy mill. You cannot group them all together.

Mean, no. Honest, yes.

Fact, no. Opinion, yes.

Look, I'm not crazy about the breed either, but I would never tell anyone their "baby" was ugly. FACT is, many people think they're "cute". You didn't HAVE to come in here and share your opinion about their looks without addressing anything else in the thread. You came in just to insult the OP's dog's looks. That's just mean. In my opinion, of course.

What, are you a mod or something? Is it illegal to state a fact about a dog that's a dog? There are better looking breeds out there. Beauty is in the eye and all.

The fact of the matter is the bulldog had been bred for a specific purpose and it wasn't in keeping with natural evolution. The same goes for Persian cats. They've been bred into ugliness.

I'm not going to apologize for the ugly truth.

So, that provides you with the cartblanche right to be a jerk?

Wow, you must be pretty damned ugly. And probably uglier on the inside.

You aren't supposed to personally attack people. Stick to the topic.

Hmmm. Well, you attacked my family.

And you persisted.

Let's just consider this an issue to forget. You've made your opinion known. I've made mine.

Thank you for contributing. Have a great holiday, both you and your friends and family.
