Sure... why not... I've never been fortunate enough to document anything truly weird by video, but it IS an opportunity of sorts, as the pennies remain a conundrum.

I'll see if anything shows up... but give me some time, I was serious about a glass of wine!

And as far as R.A.W.'s Prom Rising, he's one of my most formative philosophers ... and yes, read it and re-read every few years to keep balanced. Love all three of them and also love The New Inquisition... heck, everything he wrote is worth reading.

Of course, my first thought was selective attention... just because it seems the (so far) unexplained happens, doesn't mean it's common... but as I tried to convey, I know where the coins are in my home and I know that there didn't seem to be any on that floor... then there were... repeat three (now four) times.

Anything IS possible... especially a sleepy series of mistaken perceptions... but I just don't think so in this case.

No... well, not that I know of... though I had family members who had psi abilities ... and might have empathic tendencies... but nope, not a witch... but Wiccan friendly!

I think it's bleed over from the parallel dimension next to ours. Your floor is next to the penny slots at Casino Perilous.

Next door to the Chapel, huh?

Could be... sigh... it really is quite mundane, silly ...and totally inexplicable with our (common) knowledge pool at this time.

Like most of my maybe brushes with the paranormal ... it's essence is so very normal and boring.

Sad (but relieved) to report that no more pennies have appeared (I was hoping for a billion or so), the stack remians stacked and the half hearted couple pics I snapped of the room just revealed the sad bachelor pad it is ... no lingering entities.

One more odd experience to wonder about... thanks for the kindness so far... even from those thinking it even sillier than I do!

I think they were tails up... all three (darn)... with the minting dates as 1997,1993 and 1996, but I'm not sure of what order they appeared in... thinking about it, it almost seems like some sleep to waking consciousness, or "dream residue" came through... like a bleed-over... but that might be simple disorientation from an odd event, heh. ...

...As a control, I went back in to set them down and ...there was another darned penny at that spot... well about three inches away from the previous spot... I think.

At this point I have to laugh... but I did set them down in a stack and we'll see... if they move, I'm calling in a young priest and an old priest!

I am responsible for altering the quoted text for emphasis.

What mint date for the 4th penny?
Was it, also, tail up?

The three pennies mint dates combined, are "1".
That, I thought odd (with "1" bearing/sharing characteristics as a cent or penny), but, will wait to see what changes with the 4th mint date.

Also - did you note in which order they were stacked, and whether they faced heads or tails?

Not off topic...hopefully - Perhaps the Forever Men or Knights of Relearned Knowledge have payed you a visit...

Darn... I was so flummoxed seeing that fourth penny that I have NO clue what side was up... but the mint date of that one is 1984... year of my H.S. graduation... the other dates don't ring any obvious bells, though.

That secret space force/dream users meme, of course, occurred to me... being weird... heh.

ADD and nope, just stacked them and set them down with no order noted... being a bad scientist tonight.

Was the fourth penny shiny - as well?

Also - you said that it was situated, perhaps, 3 inches from where the others had all been found.
Wonder if you changed the configuration (to a stack of 3 - with a solo satellite three inches away...).

So - the minting numerology changes from "1" to "5"... Money maybe.
You say that people have died in the past...
... Too bad they didn't use gold bars.

The 1984 penny, the most recent to "appear," is also, logically from age, almost the darkest. The shiniest was the first one from '97... I remember 'cause it was SO shiny, as in just off the mint... then comes 1993, as far as looking nearly newly minted, with 1984 as darker and the darkest, yet still fairly shiny one, is from 1996.

I hope you can pull some meaning from that... as I cannot.

I just follow numbers to see if they might tell a tale.

Thats weird. I had something happen once.

I was on the subway and this man gets on. Homeless. He starts asking for money but was honest. He just wanted a ticket back home. He went through his tale of running away, drugs, concerts....and so on. How he was just tired of it. Just wanted to live a happy normal life. The repentant hippie sad man, worn out run away.

I did believe him. I know BS and this was not. He was tired.

So he is at the end of the car walking towards my one really cared after his speal. It was humanly ugly and sick. Nothing was being given. Then it happened. I reached into my pocket for some dollars and as I went to give it to him others instinctively followed suit....and the wall poured out coins. Like Behind a sign for metro safety announcements.... Coins poured allot. I am almost convinced I saw a miracle.

It was crazy. We were all speechless and the guy was emotional. I dont know what happened.... But it was amazing.

More power to you OP....its cool to see amazing and wonderful every now and again ...

That story beats this one! Neat.

Like how many coins we talkin there... like a slot machine torrent, or a few bucks? I know there was no way to really tell ...also know the mind kinda just stares when it sees the impossible... but any idea?

Wonder if the guy got home... or got a fix... we live in a really strange environment without this stuff happening... when it does occur, and it does, the weirdness scale just breaks.

I'm actually putting off sleeping in that weird room...heh... but I'll report if anything further happens... but from past experience, it won't for a few months.

Course you're right about the association with death as a couple of pennies would have been once placed over the eyes as a token payment to the ferrymen, if you have four that's enough for two people, however if the pennies are returning from the spirit realm that would mean a couple are coming back the other way, so nothing to be alarmed about...

'Tis the lucky, lucky, penny, penny, penny buys the pearly to their souls...

Yes, for some strange reason spirits like to leave pennies lying around as a sign. They even throw them at us, like the one I tell about in my post here. Maybe the spirit that hit me in the head thought I was too dense to realize it was from them if they just left it for me.

My father picked up pennies so when he passed away I found pennies in almost every parking spot I parked in as soon as I opened my car door a penny would be there.
Keep looking down though the last time I saw a shiny coin and thought it was a penny it turned out to be a five dollar gold coin!

I have no idea how much it was. The people sitting in front of the sign had to get up and shake themselves off. The little dip in the seat was full. I gave him 5 bucks and one lady gave him a bill that was either a 5 or a ten. He could have gotten a ticket back home between it all. I dont know really. It was cool as hell though. We were all just silent.

I like to think he is in a better place.
If you get the feeling its a bad omen and that you should stay away from that room then do so. I wouldn't be afraid though. Nothing has power over you unless you give it power.
Have a good one.
Hold it down.

And interesting topic, thanks for starting this thread.

There's something with "found pennies" to be sure. I've been in a Hollywood cemetery, and puzzled over dozens of pennies tossed on the flat grave marker for silent screen western star, Tom Mix. I've had older relatives who considered a "found penny" as Good Luck. (Personally, I always thought it was more about getting people to look down than up. Finding pennies is a lot easier to explain than a UFO or experimental plane overhead.)

Even now when I roll my pennies, I wonder why I see so many that look like they've got tar on them. And during the last big Recession in the last century, coin collectors were advised to start checking the years on all coins. That people would be raiding their piggy banks, and a surge in older coins in good condition would suddenly be in circulation again.

Pennies are mostly copper:
"Copper was probably the very first metal mined and crafted by man. It was believed to have been originally discovered in the Middle East. Copper is one of the metals referred to as one of the 'Metals of Antiquity'. The ancient 'Metals of Antiquity' together with their approximate dates of discovery and use are Gold (6000BC), Copper (9000BC), Silver (4000BC), Lead (6400BC), Tin (3000BC), Iron (1500BC) and Mercury (1500BC).

"It is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity and is widely used for electrical wiring, water piping, and corrosion-resistant parts, either pure or in alloys with brass and bronze."

(When I used to take psychic-training classes, then teacher would line up about 4 pennies. While I left the room or closed my eyes, she would put a finger on one penny for at least 30 seconds. Then I'd open my eyes and try to figure out - by whatever psychic means - which penny she'd touched.)

There's also the rare phenomenon of "apports", or small objects that seem to manifest out of thin air, and fall to the ground/floor:
I have never experienced this myself, and "pulling small objects out of thin air" is one of the classic Illusionist tricks. Controversy around "apports" range from ghosts leaving them, fraud during seances, to teleportation and materialization.

It could be a passed on loved one trying to send you a message or remind you of something.

After my grandfather passed away I asked him to send me signs that he was watching over me, and I started finding coins always in front of me - appearing out of nowhere, or white feathers materializing out of thin air. And the feather would just show up in front of me, and then slowly float to the ground.

(None of my pillows have feathers, we don't have any birds, and we live in the city.)

Anyway, coins and feathers are usually signs that they are watching you, or they want you to remember something.

I don't think you should take it as a bad omen. Follow your gut instinct. How does it make you feel?
Surprised, shocked, curious, warm, etc. --- that's normal

Or does it make you feel dread, depressed, down, 'heavy'----negative emotions?

I read that you had a bad experience in the past....I don't know how spiritual you are, but you should protect your home with white light every day to keep any unwanted bad things out. (It only takes a couple of seconds, once you get the hang of it.)Passed on loved ones can still come through though, so no worries.

Hopefully you'll remember what you are supposed to remember or find out which of your passed on relatives/ friends is trying to send you a message.

Thank you for gracing my two-cent thread, Kantz... I hope the ferryman hasn't adjusted for inflation as that might leave many souls in limbo.

And once again, I'm astounded by our parallel music tastes... actually, 'astounded' might be hyperbole... tickled is better.

Her (Frazer's) voice is amazing... not hyperbole. Thanks... I hadn't heard the Twins in awhile... they got a resurgence from that miserable Peter Jackson movie "The Lovely Bones"... had a great soundtrack, though... Eno and Cocteau Twins... musical dreamy heaven.
