First of all, that wasn't me you were quoting, it was Grovit.

Second of all, all three of us are pretty much in alignment here.

Yes, and like Rick says to Louis, "...I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

This and thousands of other reasons just like it are why
I do not care why or how we tortured the enemy.

Well then, whether you like it or not, what you're telling us is that the bad guys won. You've been reduced to their level.

Um...injuries happen in every theatre of war, as tragic as that may be. But, unless I'm missing the point, you may as well be posting on-the-job injuries from GM. Neither reflect American torture.

And my point is that if we do not care about how we treat the enemy, if we now dismiss the moral high ground as irrelevant, then we have reduced ourselves to their level. And if that has happened...then we lost. Cuz sometimes all that's left is honour, and that should not be pissed away.

Johnny, get over the juvenile habit of putting words in
others mouths, unless you are a king or an editor of course.
Hey, you wanna let the bad guys define your own morality, fill yer boots. I chose otherwise. Happy trails, eh?

With all do respect for your opinion as a Marine who served our nation, and my sincere thanks for doing so...

We have all been "told" something in our lives. We've been told alot.

Being told something is not the same thing as the truth. Neither are ideals.

That being said, I've also connected with all the Marines I know, both in and out of active service. To a one they all agreed that while vile, interrogation and torture as the means of such, is a necessary thing.

I concur.

Again, thank you for your service. I will be eternally grateful to you for that.

I respectfully disagree with their opinion. If they knew that NO beneficial and verifiable information has ever come from torture, I doubt they would still agree.
