night landing at chicago airport

a night landing at chicago airport (somewhat sped up and with the inevitable ambient soundtrack, but still very cool).
just another short vid i wanted to share. it looks amazing, like something out of 'TRON'

I don't know how they land those planes. So many lighted highways and buildings it's amazing how they can find the runway! I'm sure they have some kind of navigation device, but to someone who is not a pilot, it looks like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I wonder how they would go about finding the airport if their GPS or navigation device failed?
