is there any chance that YOU feel inadequate because of this crap, that YOU don't feel like you measure up, and that you are projecting that onto a convenient scapegoat? that because you feel you don't hit the bar set by the commercials you watch, and that those same commercials tell you that vagina (notice i don't say "a girlfriend", because that's clearly not the goal, is it?) is a reward for hitting the right marks, that you don't even make the effort to approach a woman? and then shift the blame for your bad feels onto them?

We don't all have that accent, it's just funny to me to promote it. I don't have it but I do lovingly poke fun of family and friends that do. Oh and we also staht ahh cahs with khakis.

What I find interesting about the entire thread and many of the responses is the fact that people are laughing, mocking and making fun of each other, in a passively degrading manner.

Things tend to be funny when everyone is on-board and able to enjoy the humor, otherwise it's better to take the high road.

Perhaps this is the reason that neither side can understand, or even get along with each other these days?

A word that comes to mind is narcissism.

You're lucky. My accent really IS thick and hillbilly. When I get out into humanity and try to speak, I usually have to tell people my name a minimum of three times before they realize it's not a girl's name.

It usually goes downhill from there.

Nah. I'm just a curmudgeon. I make fun of everyone because I don't like anyone. I don't even much like me, and I'm the finest fella I know!

I think there is a slight bit of irony here, when some of the men on this post call out women for being "princesses". While Mothers are extremely influential when raising their daughters, I think Fathers are even more so. Who else can teach girls about a healthy relationship with men than their first love (As a Father). They can teach their daughters basic plumbing, how to change out a tire, operate a lawnmower, or change their oil in their car, etc. Respect for men starts with a great Father, in my opinion.

In my opinion, you attract a partner that somewhat mirrors what you can offer. I get that a lot of the posters on this sight have been hurt by women, I feel for them. At the same time, I am confused by their generalization. It seems as if they lump all women into the "awful box". Radicals of all shapes and sizes comprise a fraction of society, and that includes feminists.

I agree with Scientific Railgun, computer addiction plays a huge role in the dissociation. Immediate gratification is definitely present with intense gaming.

I will say that there are plenty of shallow women out there, I see it plenty. I also believe there are plenty of good women out there as well. I recommend finding women who have a great relationship with their Fathers. You might laugh, but I recommend women who raised livestock such as horses and cattle. Nothing like mucking a stall to install a little humility

Every time I hear some male or female saying that they have had it with the opposite sex, I say, GOOD. You might even find life is so much richer once you phase out the complications of romantic relationships. You'll likely have more money, more free time, less substance abuse, and more meaningful relationships with friends and relatives. You can probably even start pursuing interests you put on hold.

To blame or indicate feminism as somehow a bad influence here is curious, though. If a person can't deal with the fundamentals and maturity requirements of a relationship, then maybe it is better for us all if they throw up their hands and quit the game. The last thing we need is more narcissistic, immature, delusional, and entitled neurotics running around and looking to breed and ruin other people's lives.

It would be nice if humans stopped breeding all together, but that's just not going to happen. Even though people can live longer and happier lives without that "someone special", solitude doesn't sell. It doesn't generate mountains of profits. We live in a society pushes romance, because it sells. Contentment is the enemy of commerce.

That is possible as it may make some people aware how much they actually do enjoy violence and want the real thing but even if there were no videogames male aggression would still exist because of millions of years of evolution and it needs outlets. Sports is another potential outlet and probably a better one than videogames because unlike videogames you can get hurt too if you are too aggressive and realize violence has real world consequences.

The problem with videogames and porn too is it allows men to engage in warrior fantasies and harem fantasies of multiple women whenever they want them without any real world consequence and with very little effort. This makes it addictive because these primal instincts are just below the surface and still very strong despite them being a detriment and something the must be contained or channeled productively to operate well in modern society.

How many guys I hear bitching about women only wanting them for their money. Yet one needs only to take a look at the "women" they speak of, and it makes sense. It's because they are all chasing after more trophy material than substance. In turn, girls with below average looks but above average minds or personalities will get treated terribly, or used and dumped for what is perceived as better.

Poorer men than you still manage to hook up without issue. It's obvious the "sexodus" nonsense has nothing to do with feminism, but more to do with a lack of self-esteem, and a self-imposed fear of one's own vulnerability. Oh yes if a man gets into a relationship with a self-made "princess", it can be rough. Everything is always about them, and if they don't get their way, they put him through endless fights. Some men might break up a relationship like that and decide to go alone for awhile. Never had one of those, but I know guys that have, it's nasty for them.
