LOL, who's giving up on sex? The next generation of females who lost their fathers...are now looking for older men to fulfill that need. I know I have been hard at work, (as if it's work lol) and I personally love what feminists are doing. Its a lot easier than it used to be...not only to get women...but they love us older men, now that they have replacement fathers. So yes, we are giving up on relationships...that only benefits the female. Sex? Not so much. The younger females are also easier to control, for obvious reasons. You may call me a moron as well, if you would like, however...I am feeling like a genius and the positives FAR outweigh the negatives. Great job feminists. I applaude what you are doing.

Lol, nice attempt to antagonise me there. I'm not a feminist btw but glad your enjoying the aspect of sexual freedom that woman now have. I've never allowed a man to use me and thanks to feminism I'm less likely to be locked into situations where men can abuse me. Looks like feminism is working for us all. Perhaps these girls who are throwing themselves at you have their own personal issues and your just choosing to take advantage of that? Whatever the reason, I really don't care about your sex life haha

Ah, so it is petty when a man wants his own private space, but it was worth the fight for women to take it away?

You realize that YOU (not people like you, but you) are exactly why men are opting out.

Why bother with the hypocritical BS, when you can just opt out.

Look, if a guy needs a strip bar to "have some space" or "feel like a man" then that's just more reason for men to evolve. You have billion's of pages of porn on the internet, put a lock on your door and stop crying for god's sake.

Men are definitely leaving the romantic scene (I'm one of them). While I do believe feminism is partly to blame, it's one of the minor factors. The main issue I see with feminism is how women typically get custody in divorce battles. As if past generations of male privilege mean current generations of males must suffer. It's the same deal with whites/minorities. The sins of our fathers.

There are other factors involved with this phenomenon. I think men have lost value due more to the evolution of technology. In general, men are physically stronger. When most of our hard labor is done by machines while we're just banging on a keyboard, muscles don't mean squat anymore unless you play sports or work in construction.

When a woman can do everything a man can do to and look much better while doing it there's no place for man anymore. It's the same reason I almost always choose a female character in video games. They have all the strengths of the male characters but look a hell of a lot better. It's merely an aesthetic choice, and if you look at any art mag/website/museum you'll notice way more female figures than male. We're simply breeders now. We've got nothing else going for us, and physical contact isn't even required for that.

One thing that feminism (not the extremist kind) has instilled within many of us is the idea of equality. So how come as a guy I'm expected to pursue women? No woman has ever asked me out. They're afraid of appearing slutty (what my mom told me). So how fair is that? I have to be the slut? No thanks. The last time I asked a girl out was in 2006. Now I'm 35, bald, and unemployed. My genes die with me.

Sigh. So now we know we don't need asteroids to make us extinct.

The fight for equality between man & woman is enough to do the trick.

Things may have been better if we were all just a neutral gender, there wouldn't be the question of sexism.

Women need to learn how to communicate their feelings correctly instead of being carried away by their emotions and treat men AND other women with respect.
Men need to learn how to respect a woman's word and basically put an end to disgusting violations like rape and other kinds of abuses.

after realizing that being alone and being lonely are different,
i kinda like it being alone. more peaceful. it has nothing to do with women.

i do like women but i prefer those who are strong and have no problems being alone.

Women only want equality until the car tyre needs changing, then, low and behold they are totally helpless, why is that?
I have had girlfriends, was married for twenty five years, I thought I had a good marriage, she thought differently.
My conclusion is shown in the first sentence.

Dude, I know how to change a tire, know when I just need to plug one as well (and even know how to do it to boot). I can change oil, tell which ban is the one making the irritating noise (have even changed a few of those), change my own air filter even. I also am the house plumber, electrician and well, all around handy err "man".

Except I'm a woman. I'm a woman whose father dumped her amongst mechanics who taught her a few things that happened to come around pretty handy. I'm a woman whose grandfather had me help him change out vents and light fixtures in my mom's house because I was very much capable of being the handy"man" of the house.

You want women to change their own tires? Well, hey, teach your daughters. If you want helpless women who run scrambling for a man the moment a fuse blows, keep right on at it. What perpetuates gender stereotypes and what people can or cannot do is, well, us. You don't like it? Change it. Raise your kids to do whatever they need to do or what they might be interested in even if that's teaching your son to bake or your daughter to sharpen a lawnmower blade.

Behind every woman who can't change a tire is a dad that didn't bother to show her how because she was a girl and behind every man that is at a total loss in the kitchen is a mother that didn't bother to teach him how to cook because he was a boy.

Don't like it--change it.

somewhere along the line I got the impression that in the old days there were women inventing and discovering different things but since the society was so male dominated alot of the times they needed their husbands to claim them as theirs to have them accepted.

you also have to consider how women of those days were expected to dress. It was cumbersome and made many tasks difficult to do.

“And now I’m dressed like a little girl, in a dress both loose and short,
Oh with what freedom I can sing, and walk all ‘round about!
And when I get a little strength, some work I think I can do,
‘Twill give me health and comfort, and make me useful too.”[15]

We can thank a women for our freedom of movement!!!

Very profound post! And something I - as a hetero woman who totally rejects radial feminism and radical homosexuality - has been wondering about for a long time. I'm in my 60s and happily married, but I have wondered where young guys even find girlfriends today who aren't totally vicious bi***es.

I think the reasons are more numerous and insidious than you listed, however:

~ Public schools with mostly women teachers, who (consciously or unconsciously) push the Nice Little Girl mode of behavior. Little boys learn by DOING, not sitting still and listening, like little girls. By Middle School, most boys hate school, and have started "tuning out" older women - well meaning mothers and vicious radical feminists alike.

~ Girls, however, are enveloped by the mixed messages from female teachers and relatives. If 20% of the women in the U.S. are really bisexual, as studies claim, then sexual expectations are seriously skewed. And all it takes is years of subtle pushing for all girl classes, sharing beds on vacations, being constantly (loudly or unconsciously) told boys/men are inherently evil, and so on, to create this horrible divide we have now.

~ Psychology teaches that you never rip out a foundation without a suitable replacement. But the homosexual push for atheism (because they can't stand the thought of ever facing a Judgmental God for their despicable predatory practices) leaves hetero young people with little to believe in or take guidance from. And when radical feminists and radical gays use this loss-of-guidance and floating-anxiety against young people, their choice becomes to either join the evil deviants just for a sense of belonging. Or to isolate and suspect everyone of ulterior motives.

~ All I can suggest is to leave the cities and retire to small towns, where bedrock values are still taught and respected. It doesn't mean joining a church, necessarily, but finding a more normal pocket of folks who were raised fully understanding the difference between Good and Evil, and how hetero is really the bedrock sexuality of the cosmos, and the very best foundation for raising healthy children. And forming meaningful, non-predatory, non-ulterior-motive relationships with both sexes.

In school, boys are screwed over time and again. Schools are engineered for women. In the US, they force-feed boys Ritalin like Skittles to shut them up. And while girls are favoured to fulfil quotas, men are slipping into distant second place.

Here it already starts, dramatic and whiny language. I agree that in the west/USA there're many issues regarding education. Is it feminism? Do we 'just' need to improve the system?

Ritalin like Skittles to shut them up... oh please
We need to reconsider the amounts of ritalin we put in children but this is no reasonable article thus far, it's an emotional whinge. Why, I wonder? Was the author 'force-fed Ritalin like Skittles to shut him up'? Well, we see how well that did for him, so in that sense, it IS some sort of a plea...

One of the first links in the article lead to a pro-life site that wants to stop abortion.

Nobody in my generation believes they're going to get a meaningful retirement. We have a third or a quarter of the wealth previous generations had, and everyone's fleeing to higher education to stave off unemployment and poverty because there are no jobs.
"All that wouldn't be so bad if we could at least dull the pain with girls.

VERY creepy reasoning. It reminds me of an ex of mine. ''I don't like that you rightfully comment on/say no/try to discuss X because I don't like it and because I don't like it you should not try to say no/comment/discuss and by doing so, you're doing me a disfavour and are inherently in the wrong''. Very entitled and immature. Because we're just there to dull your 'pain'.

But we're treated like paedophiles and potential rapists just for showing interest.

I know it's a hyperbole but I feel a need to break it down to expose the emotional effect of it. But it says something, doesn't it? The dude is implicating that if you show interest in a woman, she reacts with fear and disgust, perhaps some anger. An instinctive reaction.

What I say to that:
a) Is the author THAT anti-attractive?
b) When people respond with fear and disgust to your 'showing interest' you either do it in a very creepy manner or you have the Elliott Rodgers vibe. (which I can imagine, reading all that) Feminism empowered women to at least not be polite ALL the time or not feel compelled to talk to person X regardless of how he creeps them out. We still have a way to go there because very often there IS a certain amount of pressure to talk to that creepy person or that person in whom you're not interested in any way because otherwise he gets bored/lonely/just do it okay?
c) If people respond to someone with such antipathy, what does this person want? That people become insincere? Because we all know how that pans out...
''She led me on! She even talked to me and was nice but it turned out, she was doing JUST THAT and didn't want sex! Oh, those mean women! So insincere!''

I mean, we hear such things on a daily basis. Can't win.
d) So people should get back in their kitchens and cages because you have a hard time finding a date? It's not about ''society'' but about you, then.

My generation are the beautiful ones," he sighs, referring to a 1960s experiment on mice that supposedly predicted a grim future for the human race.

Firsts it's a whinge about education, then about people having instinctive reactions normally related to fear of rape to the author or men he apparently knows and now about mice and overpopulation. 10 on the emotional rant scale.

After overpopulation ran out of control, the female mice in John Calhoun's "mouse universe" experiment stopped breeding, and the male mice withdrew from the company of others entirely, eating, sleeping, feeding and grooming themselves but doing little else. They had shiny coats, but empty lives.
"The parallels are astounding," says Rupert.

Feminism leads to overpopulation?

Never before in history have relations between the sexes been so fraught with anxiety, animosity and misunderstanding.

Quite a premise. I doubt this author actually ever opened a book on social history or gender relations. ''Never before'' makes the reader think we're propelled in social chaos, a problematic anarchy. But was there actually understanding before? Lack of understanding was partially wat actually fed the feminist movement after WWII, women went back from the factories into the kitchens again, were taught that they should love to be a mom and housewife above all and it didn't pan out like that....

They were people. There're frictions between people. Not between 2 pre-set roles that might not even been chosen or wanted, where one of the 2 ruled over the other.

Gets me thinking, if you read about the history of motherhood you get to see how drastically things have changed. Right now there's probably LESS misunderstanding because now we're actually able to just tell and choose what we want and now men and other people can just listen instead of assume how female nature is/should be.

Author needs to explain a lot here imo.

To radical feminists, who have been the driving force behind many tectonic societal shifts in recent decades, that's a sign of success: they want to tear down the institutions and power structures that underpin society, never mind the fall-out. Nihilistic destruction is part of their road map.

It's true that gender relations are at the fundaments of society. Is them changing necessarily a bad thing? If so, it's bad for him according to the author... so when it's bad for him, it needs to be changed back. Talk about nihilism.

all of which insulate them from a hostile, debilitating social environment created, some argue, by the modern feminist movement.

The need of social skills are not created by those mean feminists. Nor did they invent 'maturity' or 'being a decent and reasonable person', or 'make something of it or stop complaining' . And if they WERE the inventors of all that, they'd be like a modern-day Jesus or something. But luckily for the author, we cannot ascribe these wonderful things to them.

Cruelly derided as man-children and crybabies for objecting to absurdly unfair conditions in college, bars, clubs and beyond, men are damned if they do and damned if they don't

What are those unfair conditions? He makes it seem as if men are actively bullied away from such things but people go there to meet people... so bullying them away makes no sense. And 'men' include 'people'. It's their world as they inhabit it. Men go out. They're out there already and they too 'create' the environment. It's not like they're a tiny minority being chased away by mean shrieking women with shovels and broomsticks.

ridiculed as basement-dwellers for avoiding aggressive, demanding women with unrealistic expectations, or called rapists and misogynists merely for expressing sexual interest.

See above. But this part of the whinge conjures up a funny image... angry aggressive women demanding things in a bar calling them misogynists and rapists while the poor chap only said hi.

Teenage boys always have been useless with girls, but there's definitely a fear that now being well-intentioned isn't enough

Good! Will we then finally see the end of the Nice Guy? (''I give you a cookie with the tea, sex now?'')

posted on Dec, 10 2014 @ 06:30 AM

and you can pretty much entirely avoid one-on-one socialising with the opposite sex.

Like there was so much open, casual and healthy interaction between the genders in the good old days.

There are also a lot of blokes who ignore women because they are scared and don't know how to act. It goes without saying that boys who never spend any time alone with women are not very good at relationships.

Terrible social skills are now the fault of feminism as well? Wow.

They're obviously scared, which is natural, but they would be a lot less scared and dysfunctional if they understood 'the rules.

Yes. It would be so easy if there'd be just a mating dance where eventually all the Nice Guyery would lead to Sex Bonus Points and he could then have sex.

Women today are schooled in victimhood, taught to be aggressively vulnerable and convinced that the slightest of perceived infractions, approaches or clumsy misunderstandings represents "assault," "abuse" or "harassment."

Oh come on now.

It is the boys who were being betrayed by the education system and by culture at large in such vast numbers between 1990 and 2010 who represent the first generation of what I call the sexodus, a large-scale exit from mainstream society by males who have decided they simply can't face, or be bothered with, forming healthy relationships and participating fully in their local communities, national democracies and other real-world social structures.

Nothing in this article makes me think that these guys would be able to form healthy, mutual and mature relationships if the educational system differed somewhat. And if there would be less mice, of course.

For the past, at least, 25 years, I've been told to do more and more to keep a woman. But nobody's told me what they're doing to keep me.

Bar talk. A vague generalisation .... ''women are stupid nowadays'', ''the president is a d***k'', ''we all go to hell because ...'' little merit imo.

I can tell you as a heterosexual married male in management, who didn’t drop out of society, the message from the chicks is: 'It's not just preferable that you should # off, but imperative. You must pay for everything and make everything work; but you yourself and your preferences and needs can # off and die.

Here the whinge appears to become more hostile. Has this author ever had a healthy and loving relationship or long interaction/contact with a woman? Or has he been blinded by the thoughts behind outbursts such as this to be able to see the humanity of people and realise how they differ?

As the role of breadwinner has been taken away from them by women who earn more and do better in school, men are left to intuit what to do

A girl beat me!!!! She STOLE my first place!

And we'll discover that the real victims of modern feminism are, of course, women themselves, who have been left lonelier and less satisfied than they have ever been.

Yes... yes yes! I DESIRE the kitchen. I have no personality besides the mom thing after which I become obsolete. Let's go back into these roles we fought to throw off. This guy understands it so well.
