Today is my 39th birthday.

It for me is a time of reflection, and introspection.

I see this country headed in a dangerous direction. One that is overly conservative.

Don't get me wrong, there are points about the conservative movement that are quite valid. Our government is far too large, needs a serious reduction, needs to reduce the redundant agencies, allow states to control more of their citizens general welfare. There are too many agencies doing too little with far too little oversight.

Our government spends too much money too inefficiently, takes too much from the working class, too much from small businesses, and in my opinion spends far too much money on an over-bloated military budget.

We are at constant war, creating more problems than we solve, creating worse threats than we contain, supporting regimes that are actually horrible for the people they rule over, and exciting extremist groups with a war of aggression and invasion that is outside our countries level of expertise.

We are doing the same on our own home-front. Our police are simply put, a terrorist group with government backing, maiming and killing our own citizens. Themselves inciting riots and unrest. Incarcerating non violent crimes and preforming street justice on criminals and minorities with complete impunity.

We have folks that want to legislate love, legislate women's reproductive rights, legislate what individuals put in their own bodies but at the same time they state that they are for individual liberty. And we don't call them out on their bull!

Yes, the two party system is flawed. Democrats want to take away guns from law abiding citizens, Republicans want to make damn sure that criminals have access to guns.

Democrats want to make sure that healthcare is available to everyone and health insurance companies can charge whatever the hell they want for anything, Republicans want to make sure the sick die quickly so they don't affect the eugenics of the nation. (following the theory of survival of the fittest without acknowledging that evolution exists)

Republicans want to tap every single natural resource we have in this country throwing away their own ideology of the strategic energy reserve. (or in other words being freaking CONSERVATIVE) They want to use up our own supply of vital natural resources, instead of the long term goal of using everyone else's supplies up and then selling ours to the world for an absolute fortune while we move onto better and more efficient methods of energy.

Anything else?

Oh yea, campaigning on creating jobs in 2010, 2012 and 2014. (conservatives) then doing absolutely everything possible to stall congress from passing any bills that would actually help create jobs, then running on the fact that jobs haven't met the expectations as a platform to win again. But yet they did. How the hell the American people fell for this crap three times in a damn row is beyond me.

The Democrats have become completely and totally spineless, they have a history of being spineless in the past but the last few years the Democrats have become totally invertebrate. Caving on core issue after core issue, letting the GOP deny appointment after appointment. Just in general being complete losers, then watching as year after year they get their asses kicked in the elections.

How do I conclude?

The United States needs a massively fiscally conservative, and socially liberal reform. (Without the help of libertarians cause you guys are just A Holes.)

We need to get off the worlds stage as the only superpower, concentrate more effort at home than abroad. We need to get countries that understand the local geopolitical issues to get involved with local problems. (I'm talking to you Saudi Arabia, ISIS is your damn problem.) Israel, stop pissing off every single one of your neighboring countries and start working to actually create peace.

Africa needs a moment on the worlds stage to have every developed country bitch slap them into the 21st century. Cmon F'ers, get it together.

Religions need their asses handed to them. Hard. This world was much less violent (seriously it was) when the majority of the planet was pagan. These Abrahamic religions need a serious beat down. It's fine to believe whatever you want, but when your religion includes world domination? (That's a part of all three, don't fool yourselves) The world needs to lay the smack down for freedom. But it's got to come from the people, not the governments. It's fine to have a faith, it is, but it's not fine when your faith demands that you subjugate and dominate a cousin faith. It's a big planet and there are lots of imaginary deities to put your faith and money into.

Everyone's screwed up, everyone needs a little dose of reality, (including me) maybe if we all weren't so damn full of ourselves, and maybe if we thought about the world with a little empathy and logic, we could fix the problems in our society and the worlds society at large.

What the eff... That was uncalled for. If you knew anything about TRUE Libertarianism, you'd know that just about EVERY point you just said aligns with Libertarian ideology, yet you call us assholes.

I thought that as well pal...

Strange.

However I agreed with this part...

Sorry, but it doesn't, libertarians are just selfish A holes. They aren't a political movement but just jerks that want only for themselves and don't want to better society at all.

It is a little annoying that you have this well constructed breakdown of the political landscape in America then shoehorn a quick ad hominem jab against Libertarianism without any supporting arguments just thrown in there. Even your followup here hasn't illuminated why you don't like us. No S&F for you. For shame.

First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope it's a great one!!!

That said, you think you know what each party stands for. No offense, but neither party represents their core beliefs.

Our two party system has become one in the same. Them against us.

Sure hope we can change that. We'll see...

Don't worry about all of that, the New World Order is working on the solution as we speak. With that said what we interfere/get involved with overseas (mid east, Africa, and South America) is to the benefit of the US economy as wrong as it may be, but remember you also reap the rewards. The strong military is necessary, think of it as a mergers and acquisitions department for the US.

Congrats!
You've managed to take a dozen gray issues and simplify them to black and white.
Our pathetic government can't even manage to pass a budget,,,,,

But happy birthday

I do apologize if my opinion of your preferred political allegiance offends you. It is of course my opinion, and we all know what A holes and opinions have in common don't we? We each have one and they all stink.

In my opinion Libertarians are just selfish jerks thinking only for themselves and don't want to benefit society at all. They are just anarchists without the cool Guy Fawkes mask.

If JFK were a Libertarian, he would have had the speech "Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask how your country can get out of your way so you can do only for yourself."

Libertarianism is just being selfish is a political ideology.

Bipartisan rhetoric. Hope the next 39 years work out better for ya!

Pssst! Don't vote, it's an illusion designed to satiate your political lust while delivering nothing but frustration. IMHO, YMMV, and er...good luck! Oh, and happy birthday.

Can someone please tell me why I have been lured into the !@#$ politics threads again? I feckin hate politics and all the people that cling to party beliefs.

Do me a favor and Happy Birthday,

Can you go the next 39 without labeling everybody.

It's so divisive and immediately makes your thoughts no matter how good...

Seem Partisan.

I'm absolutely partisan. Heck my username pretty much spells that out. Sure it's divisive, but is it untrue?

That's the question.

Fine...

But, if your still in the tank for either party...You haven't been paying attention.

They both suck. They are the problem. I liked the OP, I really did.

You are a Libertarian and you don't even realize it yet.

Welcome to the Party of A-holes...

You support using the rest of the world's resources up first?

You do realize, that has been the cause of most of the world's conflicts over the past 50 years, right?

Then, you go on to lecturing how America should worry about their own problems, and fade from being the sole superpower.

It's difficult to use everyone's resources first, without having control of those resources, because it is difficult to dictate who gets to use them if you are not in control. That requires wars in foreign nations, creation of terrorist groups to create an enemy and galvanize the public to support those wars, and a global empire to succeed.

Ignoring the contradictory statements for a minute,

You have completely misinterpreted the direction the country is headed. The theory of Marx, stated capitalism would transform into socialism, and then finally communism. However, history has already shown Marx is wrong, capitalism transform into fascism, which has already come to pass. The next step is already coming to fruition, and that is a Global Scientific Dictatorship. Essentially, a global corporate-like structure, with the sole focus not being on profits, but the survival of the human species. That requires some very difficult-to-accept steps, like a global nuclear war and the eradication of freedom and barbaric, outdated systems of control such as religion, nations, and democracy.

Here are some corrections, to your conclusions:

It is not a 'right to choose', when it comes to reproduction. In a Global Scientific Dictatorship, reproductive rights will be dependent on population. During times of acceptable population levels, reproduction will be a choice. During times of overpopulation, abortion/sterilization will become mandatory; while extremely low population levels abortion/sterilization will be outlawed.

This also relates to healthcare, healthcare is not a right. Better healthcare, means growing populations and increased longevity. It puts a strain on the system overtime, and a balance must be the focus.

As for fiscal policy: due to strains on overpopulation, and the apparent environmentally destructive nature of high technology, the world will begin focusing resources more on space exploration and colonization other habitable planets. This is far off in the future, after the emerging global war and subsequent victor unite the world. Although, it could go the other way, sending us back to the stone age, sending the cycle back a few thousand years, or completely wiping humans out.

Social policy, in most cases, is and should be dependent on population. Conservative social policies, have been prevalent in the early stages of human history. A good policy, for periods of low human population. Liberal social policies, including: abortion, contraception, sterilization, and the promotion of homosexuality, are good policies during times of overpopulation.

You are correct, in that religion is bad. The reason is that it separates people, creating different cultures. The corporate world, is the one culture that permeates through every society, and will be the galvanizing factor in creating a global government.

The ends do justify the means. It is imperative to convert or destroy all cultures that reject the corporate culture, that includes most institutionalized religions, nations, democratic ideals, and political philosophies. The morality of how to accomplish these goals are of no concern, as long as they are successful in the end.

See, I'm not libertarian. Yes, both major parties stink. But at the same time I think that members of a society should work together for the benefit of society as a whole. I don't think that people should work to only support themselves, or that everyone should work to support those that can't support themselves, but that there has to be a balance.

Some people need help, and I think that it is our primary job as a society to better our society so that there are resources available so that those that are having a rough time can get help, and maybe get to the point of being self sufficient. I think it's a primary goal of a society to educate the young to improve the society.

Libertarians believe that it's only up to the individual to help themselves, and that anyone that needs help is doomed to be a failure and should fail. I don't agree with that.

I also don't agree with the democrat ideology that the government should cradle to grave help everyone, I don't agree with the republican ideology that only the wealthy deserve aid.

I believe that a society should work to better itself. Give the resources it can to those less fortunate in aid to help them to the point to where they can stand on their own and contribute to the rest of society, I believe that education should be free. I don't believe in huge tax breaks to large corporations.

So no, I'm not a true liberal, I'm not a conservative, I'm certainly and will never be a libertarian.

Hmmm.

It would help as much as a lead anchor would help a balloon stay in the air.
