OK.

The recent "police state" activities have brought out the worst.

The past "police state" activities have too.

The U.S. has been "ruled" by two major political parties for a very long time.

Democrats and Republicans.

So which party has gained the upper hand with all the police "problems"?

Which party has actually used any "police state" type laws?

Who has the most to gain with the militarization programs?

Who gets the best from things like the Patriot Act and any other legislation that have "police state" things inserted into laws?

Maybe most of this is local?

And, how would a "3rd" party eliminate this dilemma (if at all)?

What's the big deal here with all the "Authoritarian" policies all over the place?

This is a wide open topic.

We must figure out where the root of the problem is.

There is only one major political party in the United States.

Money.

So, I guess the answer would be...

Money.

ETA:

The Democrats aren't Communists. I would have voted for them if they were.

So maybe that means there might not really be much difference.

Marx pushed the bank and tax thing pretty hard, and people seem to think Republicans are more in favor of that than Democrats are.

Looks like both parties might benefit from the "police state".

The GOP are Science Deniers. They are only slightly worse than The Democrats.

They're both Corporatists getting their Money from the same source.

Money.

Money is the real political player. Everything else is window dressing to keep the people without Money from realizing it.

Interesting perspective.

How does all that play into the "police state" thing?

Where specifically have "police state" laws been used to make validity?

It doesn't.

It plays into the other aspect of your question.

Which political party has the edge?

Neither. Both. It doesn't matter because they are beholden to the same Money.

Money is the Political Party with the most influence over the police state.

Control the Money; Control the Policies.

Control the Money; Control the Parties.

Control the Money; Control the Police.

This is why Citizens United is a bad thing for democracy.

Would a "Communist" Party candidate be able to solve the "police state" problems here in the U.S. in your opinion?

That all may be true.

But how specifically does a major police state create an advantage?

How does it create profits and wealth?

I think Democrats passed the Federal Reserve Act and maybe had more to do with the current IRS than Republicans.

Not sure.

Maybe we need to actually look closer at those laws and who uses them most.

And we need to determine how "police state" tactics turn a profit for the guilty parties.

I don't think either side is in charge. When they want to stall and delay some spending that is for the benefit of the people they take sides. Like Immigration… talk, talk, talk.

When its for the benefit of the "secret society" thats really behind the dog and pony show we call "politics" theres no debate, they all swing one way together without any hesitation. Defense spending and the ludicrous HR758(?) the bill that Blames the Russians for everything. There was all of ten votes against that.

Another sign the state is one is there are only two parties, the others are sidelined at election time in the media.

Edit: Cops defend all the politicians and the system, regardless.

I'm staying neutral this time.

We need to get down to the purposes of a "police state".

Somebody somewhere is benefiting.

If you think it's not Democrats, why?

If it's somebody else, who?

Neutral..... sure.

The simple answer is both, not sure what more you want

Specific laws being used and examples.

Then decide who made the laws.

Federal and Local are in play.

Then where the profits go if any.

What's the main purpose of a "police state"?

Instill fear in the population. Repress organized protest (see Occupy), defend the system and the corruption that comprises it. Protect the pillars of big business. Respond with overwhelming force and numbers.

The most numerous, aggressive and better equipped PDs centralize around larger cities, the politicians, corporate heads of state, their homes and businesses.

Protect the wealthy and powerful at the expense of everyone else.

To protect themselves from public uprisings due to their corruption maybe?

Why do you think nothing EVER happens in these dog and pony shows we call congressional hearings?

Nothing happens because it is kind of hard to point a finger at one for something they are all guilty of?

Interesting subject........
