Just wanted to share this cool page where you can find several pictures (have to scroll down) from 1944 - World War II. Then, when you click on these pictures you can see the same places now. Then click again if you wish to get back to 1944.

I personally find the 3th (Invasion of Normandy), to be the most impressive one - What a difference !!!

Some of these pictures are eerie; to think of the beauty of these locations amidst the death that was sewn there... it sets a very somber mood.

it was cool to see that most of the buildings in the original pictures are still there today,and look much the same as they did.
