The only time YouTube is proof, in my opinion, is when YouTube takes down a video for nonexistent copyright infringement. Then, I pay attention.

You are spot on! YouTube is the end all for the most highly accurate videos and especially the UFO videos that ever existed!

OK, at times I type LOL at something that was mildly amusing, but I actually did laugh out loud at this one.

My thing is that, even if these videos were to be considered solid "proof", what are the implications?

There are many that absolutely do consider these videos as proof but what's the result? An opening of an imagination as to what could exist? I suppose that's the best possibility, it's not like mankind would launch a campaign in order to reveal the mysteries of said proof. And if they did, the ones who reach it first would bogart the findings and decide amongst themselves which step to take next (which will likely serve their own interests).

So, consider all these shady mermaid, unicorn, cyclops, fairy, alien and demon videos to be absolute proofs. What now?

Video of the paranormal in basically all cases seems utterly futile. You could literally record yourself using a jump gate to mars and arrive at an embassy, wherein you capture a multitude of races and it all be legit. Realistically, what then? Think.

The "proof" needs to come by personal experience, otherwise any other form is basically moot as it can be explained away by many logical routes. A mass awakening could only happen by a simultaneous, personal, spiritual, almost cataclysmic event, IMO.

Not for nothing, but I can probably dig up a Youtube vid that both proves and disproves your hypothesis/rant all at once.

Thus is the glory of Youtube.
