A boat in the restricted area is causing a problem! I hope the launch will not be affected.

Shades of Wallops Island. Same thing happened and they had to scrub the launch for a day to get the boater out of the way. (Then the next day it blew up on launch).

12 minutes to launch ....

The launch team is working through options for setting a new liftoff time following the violation of ground wind rules.

Does that mean delayed slightly because of bad winds?

Yes. Holding at T-4minutes now. We should get an update on the weather soon, we keep getting some gusts other than that it is a nice day.

Boaters in the Danger Zone is a common delay.

NASA has a live stream going:

Pesky wind. Hope it dies down soon or changes direction.

I'm less than 20 miles away and we have light winds at the moment, it looks like the low level clouds are starting to evaporate now the sun is out. It sounds like they expect the winds to back off before the window is closed.

Also a report that the core engine bearing temp (ie in the central booster) is above limits and they are now looking at how to resolve this.

ETA: it's now been reported that they can clear this problem, so they are doing this right now. This puts them back with a "clean board with technical issues" and so the only issue is the wind.

Managers are reconducting their polls to make sure all systems are go.

The local weather with the Cape, several bodies of water with different temperatures, and the Gulf Stream make for some tough to predict local weather. Just a few miles inland at the shuttle landing, the wind is calm: w1.weather.gov....

New launch time is now 0826 local time, EST.

Orion is now on internal power. (This is good news.)

They had wind issues, and then problems with the engine core temp rising.

Transferred to secondary protocals to work around the engine temp problem. Winds have died down.

Transfering to internal power is now completely.

TO is still 8:26 am EST.
