I have the DVD of one of his shows at the Mocambo. I watch it probably every 2-3 weeks. Absolutely magical. The man was truly born to play guitar.

The first time I saw Stevie Ray was at the Black Cat lounge on 6th Street. I'd never heard of him. After about 5 minutes I knew this guy was going to be famous.
If you dig some blues guitar, you have to check out the late, great Danny Gatton. In my subjective opinion he could spank Stevie. He recorded this amazing tune shortly before blowing his brains out.

I'm with you. His version of Texas Flood from the El Mocambo video is incredible.
