Could have made for an interesting discussion I suppose...too bad we'll never get the chance to find out.

ETA: Sorry about that. I didn't mean any harm.

No harm taken! I'm just sad the discussion didn't evolve.

However, it's late/early here in the great JP so I must sleep.

Midnight shifts and whatnot.

Have a great morning/evening!

Well, if history is anything to go by I'd say that the developed world resembles ancient Rome. What with the innovations and all. But I agree with good sir ScientificRailgun--getting your info from youtube isn't exactly the smartest course of action. Get me some comparative studies on whatever your talking about, OP--or some analytical pieces and then I'll consider what you're saying. But I'm not going to believe some youtube video about prophecies because I'm not that gullible. I need facts. Instead of going off of youtube why not just use the Bible? I don't recall anything about the Holy Roman Empire in prophecies.

Actually, many scholars think that the Book of Revelation is directly referring to the Holy Roman Empire (of the past, not a future version like the OP is claiming). In fact they view the book as one big hit piece against Rome because John was mad that he was put in exile. In other words, it's a revenge fic.

Well, many scholars disagree and view the book as being a prophecy of what is yet to come/what is happening right now. History repeats itself--and that alone kinda negates that whole John was just QQ argument.

I think I'd rather side with the revenge fic qq fest story over it being actual prophecy since no prophecy has ever come true. Though it could just as easily be the ramblings of a madman pretending like he knows the future (like Nostradamus).
