I know it's only the 1st of the month, but I won't have much time to make this thread during the festive season, so what better way to start the month with a few of your favourite songs which get you into the Christmas spirit!

I'll admit, I'm a bit of a 'Bah Humbug' type of guy during this time of year, it's never been my favourite time up until 5 years ago when my first son was born, and recently with my second son I now have an inexplicable excuse to re-live my childhood through my children, and show them that Christmas is a time to love one another, and to appreciate these special times together even more.

(It's also an excuse to buy all them toys that I dreamt of as a child
)

So ATS, here are the songs that kick start the festive period for me:

1.)

I could also add the above movie to my all time favourite, but that's for another time

2.)

Just got that movie on BluRay... erm for the kids of course, they need to meet Jack Skellington

3.) Last but not least -

A great song to play to my children at bedtime on Christmas Eve

Probably not what you expected when you first clicked on the thread huh? Well I am an 80's baby, movies were my life!

Please add your own and get all festive with me!

Weird as it might sound I love to get out an old tape of Tubula Bells at Christmas time. I'm not so hot on the traditional christmas stuff and loathe the modern stuff, especially if its done by people like Cliff (kitty) Richards.

ANY version of Carol of the Bells, save for the "pop-ified" ones. It's my favorite Christmas song ever, and I can get rather obsessed with it & play just that all day long in various versions if I can get away with it. Here's a few of my favorites:

Mind your volume on this one:

What, you thought I was kidding?

Classic Bing.

And here's one to make us all feel older..lol.

I also enjoy newer "classics" as well. The TSO is awesome.

Whatever that song is off National Lampoons; Christmas Vacation. It might be because of the bikini model or it might just be because it's one of my favourite Xmas movies. The line, " The sh!tter was full!" still makes me laugh.

'Melli Kaliki Moka is Hawaiian for saying merry Christmas to you'

I'd post the vid if I had a clue how to spell the damn thing.

Also anything by the Pogues.

I'm an original metalhead. And we've got some of our own now. Thank Rob:

Just because we are metal doesn't mean we don't care about Christmas.
