All too common I'm afraid. It wouldn't even matter if it was true to be honest considering the amount of white people involved on the protest side so while the core issue has to do with skin color, the response has by no means been restricted to one skin color.

Yeah, good thing they found a rich white guy to lead their all black movement against white oppression.

You cannot see the comedy in that? Then the hypocrisy?

Do you think that this movement needs to be racist to succeed? Do we need to employ racism to combat racism?

So does that mean it takes a white person to properly lead blacks??

Interesting.

Capitalism was very much destroyed in Detroit, Michigan. How did that work out? GM = Government Motors.

It's been pointed out to you twice now that the title is an outright lie, and the lie is repeated a few times throughout the article but does note that Ryan Coogler is the 'leader' and Michael Latt was just the marketing specialist.

This thread needs to be removed or moved to LOL.

I'm not surprised, the OP made claims about another Ferguson protester yesterday in another thread and then disappeared when i informed him that i could not find the evidence that he claimed was easily available and invited him to back up his claims.

Pretty pathetic really.

This is typical, don't like the story so you want it censored into oblivion. Too bad, it is all true, being marketing director is in a leadership role while the people in the streets looting sneakers and budweisers are the sheep at the bottom of the power base. Go leave a nasty message at the originator of the story if you don't like it, it will only encourage them more to keep on reporting hypocrisies such as this.

He is right about wanting to control all "Black Money"?
You don't see a double standard where he makes money on films about Blacks struggling in society then comes along wanting to control "Black money"?
Since when does money have a color? You can just drop the word money and read it for what it really states, he wants to control "Blacks".
Isn't that just another slave master?

If you think that me researching your un-sourced claim, getting zip, and then suggesting you should back up what you said, receiving nada from you and then doubting your veracity is censoring something to oblivion then you have serious comprehension issues.

Actually, here's how it works. #BlackoutBlackFriday actually was started by Ryan Coogler. Coogler made a film called "Fruitvale Station", which was a film about the last 24 hours of the life of Oscar Grant, who was also an unarmed black man shot to death by police. The distribution deal for the film was through Weinstein Company of which, Michael Latt was the entertainment marketing director for the film, Fruitvale Station that happens to have been Ryan Coogler's film.

Now, the guy was the marketing director for a film about an unarmed black man shot by police. Now I know this might actually be hard for you to conceptualize for a moment but imagine that...the man that was the entertainment marketing director for another man's film gets on board for something else that this prize winning filmmaker is doing. And according to his Linkedin, he's not apparently working right now so I guess he has some free time to do something that he might actually think is positive in this world.

Maybe the movie got to him. Imagine that.

PS. Kudos to Latt for using his talents for good.

Yeah, good thing they found a rich white guy to lead their all black movement against white oppression.

You cannot see the comedy in that? Then the hypocrisy? How about the double standard of the rich white guy who states he wants to control "all black money"? Don't you think he is counting on all of that "black money" to be directed into his coffers for all of his future projects? Talk about cornering a market and all those rioters being led by the nose just to make some rich white guy richer.

Oh you still think he's leading it when he is just a marketing dude? I already pointed out to you who is actually running it--Ryan Coogler, the film director of Fruitvale Station and guess what--he's black.

Almost forgot I was going to add this about the whole white being involved in a "black" movement:

As far as Latt being rich goes, he probably was making a little over $100k in his position at Weinstein. That doesn't scream rich to me. A lot of people make that much. As far as the picture in a car, he's wearing a suit. I had no idea that wearing a suit made one immediately "rich". The guys that sell me shoes at the local Nordstroms also sometimes wear suits as well. They must be super rich by that rationale. The other with him at the helm of a boat--who is to even say that is his boat? He could've been on the boat of somebody else who does have a bit of money considering the field he was in and gotten a chance to take the helm. Marketing guys who are hired by companies are not "rich".

Additionally being the cause of all the rioting--lol, no, the rioting has been about the Grand Jury's decision in the Wilson indictment. Period. What they did was something different--they aimed for the pocket books of retailers because money is power and speech in this country (SCOTUS said so). Coogler was directing that animosity to where it would count and be measurable. They took the issues straight to the malls where so many people were going to be. They managed to temporarily close down the St. Louis Galleria mall by staging a mass die-in.

To you, however, these facts don't matter. They really never have as long as you just dish out a combination of lies, obfuscations and more in an attempt to sucker somebody in to thinking that the spin that you're putting on something is the truth. I've been watching you for a while. You should probably mix it up a bit because your tactics are super obvious.

The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the Negro community must not lead us to a distrust of all white people, for many of our white brothers, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up with our destiny. That is what I see when the sheep in ferguson bow down to this openly arrogant (just look at his facebook from the story, it's disgustingly self indulgent and everything the black community despises compared to their plight) rich white dude who wants to control all of their dollars with his slick marketing skills.

And Coogler, the black film director, is his boss and the idea man. Latt is in the mix to try to make it happen. A lot of charitable organizations will actually hire on or use the talents of marketing directors to help bring their movements and organizations into the public eye. It's not uncommon and, in fact, some marketing directors will actually moonlight for such groups to use their talents for good. My marketing professor actually did precisely that himself and was the marketing director for a national organization whose mission is to feed the hungry and provide shelter for the homeless.

I just realized something about you, TinfoilTP. I think that you're afraid of people like Latt--those who thoroughly know the capitalistic system and its lifeblood of marketing but who have chosen to use those talents to oppose it. It's not unlike Attilla the Hun. You know you're living in a house of cards and to imagine that some of those living in with you would see it fall and be recast probably scares the devil out of you. That's why you turn to obfuscation, lies, and shoddy attempts at using buzzwords in an attempt to try to steer opinion away from those things that you perceive as threats.

Do people like Latt remind you of Attila who spent time in the Royal Court of Ravenna and then turned away in disgust at what he viewed as corruption?

What lies? He provided the buzzwords...."control Black Money"
It gives away the race baiting he is playing. He could have said "Control Poor Money" or "Control Street money" or "Control anything other than the racial term Black Money".
He exposed himself with his words on this story, the flamboyant facebook was just icing on the cake.
