Scary...let's hope not. But, more likely, that will be the end result.

Sorry I don't buy what selling for the establishment.

Care to specify what I'm selling for the establishment? Funny, cause it sure seems as though the establishment is selling racism to everyone, and you're buying every bit of it.

So what are they gonna do if "they" don't like the decision? Destroy more of their own neighborhoods?

From all the things I've read.. this shooting was justified. And I don't normally side with cops. These "protesters" are just looking for an excuse...

they are not being violent but they are saying 'lets lock up this intersection'

and they are...cars and protestors...all over the middle of the street

blocking the street in all 4 directions...

yeah, thats not gonna be a problem...:

their hands are locked for the most part and its blocked off.

the safety director and mayor said this is the kind of things that wont be tolerated...

we will see

That's what'll cause this whole situation to cook-off.

The "protesters" will do stuff like block intersections, which is illegal, and when the police try to get them to disburse, that will be seen as "brutality" and things will just go downhill from there.

The protesters' idea of "right of peaceful assembly" and the legal definition thereof are not the same.

what are the daily mail stats for california, michigan, illinois?

Why don't you tell us?

Oh, it might be hard to find, though - states voluntarily report shootings where an officer is the one doing the shooting. It's not exactly tracked like other stats, for some reason. Given what Jim Fisher researched, I have an idea of the reason:

In 2011, according to data I collected, police officers in the United States shot 1,146 people, killing 607.

I encourage members to read this article. Jim Fisher is a former FBI agent and was later a professor for many years, teaching criminal justice.

cars are honking trying to get through and theyre not moving

Russia today just said that the answer will be released in about an hours time so don't hold your breath just yet

it's good why you have to rely on a foreign news station to get reliable news don't you think

Couple that with the fact that only 1 of the 44 incidents even went to TRIAL?!

And we are not talking about shop lifting charges here but the killing of another son.

Has life really become that cheap in the USA

One in 44, just think about that one and how the parents must feel

.

considering there are almost a million cops on the street and millions of citizens across 50 states, that number does not seem too high to me.

then again, i am a reasonable person

Where'd you hear that? The Governor of Missouri stated in a press conference that the announcement would come at 8PM CST tonight.

How would the football games have any effect on the riots?

I have 4 streams going along with the Scanner stream, there is no indication that is happening.
Swat and everyone are in town.

It seems crazy to do that in one regard and makes sense in another.

It's been over 100 days and then finally they say - verdict in. Then what, just sit on it? All of that energy and anticipation has to go somewhere. It seems to me, if they go that route, it will just drag on all night tonight and well into tomorrow too?

Protesters did this last night and several times before. They block intersections for 4.5 minutes then move on. The cops let them do it. I think it's part of the rules of engagement they agreed upon (well some protesters agreed on). Mostly drivers cheered them on. Many people don't understand this tactic, I do. I don't always agree it's the right tactic but... anyway that's all for a different thread I think.
