I am no specialist but as these creatures interest me (particularly to stay clear of them) I am looking into them. I have read a lot about them and listened to many interviews about them and with them.

Now, one thing stands out for me. Their eyes. And I specifically mean the iris, the coloured part. Psychopaths are masters at mimicking facial expressions of normal people (even though still you can notice differences but might be inclined to believe the expressiosn are genuine). But they can't change that little coulored disc. Eyes are part of the brain and convey what is going on inside. Inside them nothing emotional is going on, it's all about results what ever that may be. You, me, the kitchen sink is the same to them.

So, look only at the irises, not at the rest. Theirs will show nothing, look like plastic or glass. It's amazing how normal people's irises still have something in it.

It gets even more interesting if you duplicate those empty eyes. I have done it while standing in front of the mirror. And the feeling I get is horrible, it's sheer emptiness. I can only do it for a few seconds that's how much it startles me. But it is a good way to understand that these people are rely not human. It clarifies the horrid things they do, no connection not only to other people but to anything at all.

Now I have a little hobby, checking out people's irises while in the bus and so on. I have noticed that there are graduations in 'glassyness', what that exactly means I don't know.

Spend a day with my ex. You'll learn all you ever wanted to know.

The ex jokes and the girlfriend jokes are getting really old. They are now as empty as a psychopath's emotional capability.

Why look for a scapegoat? Any human who wants to see the devil needs only look into the nearest mirror.

I've seen it too many times on ATS, even multiple times in the same thread, to even take it the slighest bit serious.

Maybe some pictures would help because I guess I don't know what someone's eyes are supposed to look like. What exactly am I looking for?

If anything it would be more harder to ether impress or shock a psychopath when it comes to others unless it something had to deal with them personally. Psychopaths just don't feel empathy for others at all, and in some cases, even having little empathy for themselves in the long run even though they'd think they will benefit.

Although, I'd be a little careful about labeling psychopaths to some one who is calm minded or aloof, but it shouldn't be that hard to spot. Since most psychopaths will usually care little about loved ones or others, and are kind of narcissistic to get what they want.

I know, but the bottleneck is that people want to believe that another person really is ok even if things are off and their intuition tells them otherwise.

As to shy and so on people, the iris test still works. Only check the little coloured disc

Coming from a psychopath; I tend to use thoughts and images of what makes me happy when conversing with others; I use the "proper" memory to match the conversation. Eyes still light up like Christmas tree lights; nobody the wisest.

During psychological studies that are now dated so may no longer be relevant, it was found that out of every 1000 people three of them could kill without difficulty, the study's looked at data such as german medical documentation which showed the most common injury on the eastern front among serving german soldiers was frost bite in there trigger finger and it was realized that the human urge not to kill another human being was actually causing there brains to shut down blood flow to there trigger fingers.

Those three it was found that Two could safely be catagorized as clear Psychopath's while the third was something a mystery, usually a normal human being, the first two in common with all psychopath's lack empathy with other's and feel no guilt about harming another but the third has just as much empathy as any other human so they decided the third was a natural protector or warrior which left the other two as run of the mill psychopath's.

Criminals are more likely to have psychopathic tendancy's though other mental illness are also common among them.
Usually you can not tell a psychopath by looking at them and would have to get to know them or perform psycho analysis of them to get a reasonable basis to declare them psychopathic based on there tendancy's.

This 'sanpaku' is interesting too: apparently if you have white above your eyes, you are not a good person? Out to get the world. Just Japanese superstition but kinda makes you wonder, lol.

Meh, actions can speak louder then words.

A truth teller could have a cool stare about them, when a liar could look the other way, or try to fake their emotions. Body language is huge part of the way we humans communicate, more so then words and speaking. The more you understand body language, the more one could understand empathy.

And yes, the eyes reflect what a person feels. Or a window into the soul.
