Remember Spuds MacKenzie??

The dog w/ the black patch has now become the dog w/ a circle around his eye - The Target dog!!

And the SevenUp spot, or dot?

This is now a symbol for a few womens' products...

How did the gecko become the logo for Geiko? Because the name so closely resembles it? Or because they (Geiko) have a tendency to "change it's colors"?

I could list many more, but I thought I would leave it up to the members to pick and choose the best/worst 'representations' of a company.

1. Juan Valdez - He drives a donkey? That's steriotypically . . . steriotypical, isn't it? And a serape? That's mexican, not especially Andean. Why not just show him taking a nap, for crepe's sake!

2. The yellow toe-jam devil who is selling a pill that stops that toe-funk disease. That commercial is sickening.

3. It's not a logo, but how about the "Pepto Bismol Shuffle," where sufferers grab applicable bodyparts while the commentator discusses symptoms of the creeping crud.
