SANAA, Yemen (AP) — Yemen's al-Qaida branch on Friday denounced the Islamic State group for declaring a caliphate on territory it seized in Syria and Iraq and for aggressively seeking to expand its area of influence.

The al-Qaida Yemeni offshoot's purported spiritual guide, Sheikh Harith al-Nadhari, said such expansionist intentions are "driving a wedge" among jihadi groups. He was referring to Islamic State's leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's recent call for followers to "explode volcanos of jihad everywhere."

It's getting hard to keep up with Al Qaeda's & ISIL's relationship because it's a rocky one. Back in February AQ disowned ISIS but recently branches in Syria have reunited with the extremists to fight their common enemy. Now the Yemen chapter of AQ is voicing their disapproval of ISIL. I think it's funny one extremist jihad group says the others caliphate is invalid.

Yemen's AQ is right, there is a clear wedge being driven between these groups and ISIL is fast becoming the most popular Islamist group on the planet thanks to their successes in Iraq and Syria. Good job Washington, you created a bigger monster than AQ! Derp...

its not hard. ISil, ISIS, IS, ISI or Assad's Dog. the meanest dog at the junkyard to be certain; he feeds it the butchered remains of other dogs.

al qaeda is a senior citizens group to weak to do much to stop it.

so they shake their finger at them and give them a good talking to hoping that will change their behavior.

but no one cares what the reality let's do something more pleasant.

a reply to: Swills

yea right, they really hate each others guts don't they.

With the public starting to see through veneer of rabid Muslim religion so they decided they had better split the two organizations up makes it look better for the public. ........ just a bit of smoke and mirrors.
