Zeus the screech owl has eyes like the starry night sky due to a vitreous abnormality.





Without an iris or lens, he is effectively blind and needs to be kept in captivity, but he's still quite a looker!

Bummer its blind. Imagine it swooping down to take a bite, you would stare into those eyes and lose a nose.

I'm thinking that he may still be able to sort of see using all his other senses. He may not be able to do most things, but even a blind person can use echo location to see things. This bird should be able to do something like that.
