Become A Mod...Join the Witness Protection Program

I never did super awesome threads, but like the others said.... It's time consuming to mod. You also have to contend with being called out for any tiny little infraction by anyone that might not agree with your choice of subject or your opinion on it. I was mostly a "replier" before, and still try to reply to several threads a day. We don't get abducted... not everyday at any rate. And the guy that shoves the bamboo shoots under our fingernails does give us a 15 minute break for every 12 hours of work.

It's not so bad anymore when they turn the lights and heat off for days at a time. Your body acclimates to it pretty quickly. And the smeat sandwiches cease to give you the dry heaves after the first couple of weeks.

All in all it's a good gig allowed by some tall grey benevolent and magnanimous benefactors who want nothing but daily blood and plasma draws in place of gratitude.

C'mon Man,

This is the first thread this week I wasn't called any names by page 2.

I never was an epich thread writer, but did participate in a lot of threads. For me it's more a case of time as I'm sure it is for others.

I was abducted maybe two and a half years ago if memory serves and after the grueling brain-washing training process I'm still in recovery. I'll never forget seeing that black SUV in my driveway and the 3 Amigo's in their black suits and sunglasses walking up to my door, guns drawn and backed up by SWAT Teams up and down the block. How could I say no? Just kidding of course.

We are both members and volunteer moderators who have a love for ATS and are happy to help keep it a place where our fellow members can enjoy debate and conversation in a civil environment.

I love reading your threads. Haven't seen one in a while.

Staff always have been and always will be members first. There are no restrictions on posting, replying, creating threads, etc.

There are countless factors as to why any particular member may not be posting as much, such as busy work schedule, personal or medical issues, or just simply taking some time off.

You could always send them a private message, and hopefully they'll respond the next time they log on.

What I'm really saying is I miss their threads. I wish all of them were more active.

Are Mods discouraged from authoring threads ?

If one day ATS starts paying them for the job, you'll have the right to ask more from the mods.

You all are complaining?? I didn't even get a ride... I had to go pick THEM up. They stunk up my car too. Like Fritos and old, hot, moist feet. I can't even drive it if the temperatures top out anywhere above 60F anymore.
