Massive explosion dream but not sure what caused it....

Ok, so I don't really remember dreams that often, but this one I did and it was really vivid.

It was pretty short, or at least the part I remember was short. I was at the house with my wife and for some reason the kids were not there. Our back yard was a lot larger than it is, and really flat with what appeared to be a body of water, then a large city, probably Atlanta behind it.

We were watching the sunset through the window in our house (which we actually do, just don't have a body of water or a view of Atlanta). I turned to look out of the front window on the other side of the house and see a reflection of the setting sun behind me in it. Suddenly it appears as if the sun almost drops out of sight, within a few seconds.

So I turn back around to look at the sunset and comment to my wife that the sun just set REALLY quickly. Then I see a massive explosion/cloud roaring upwards and outwards from the ground. It was so large it blacked out the sky within just a few seconds and I could see it rolling towards our house. It was so big that I knew right away there was no outrunning it or hiding from it in the basement so we sat there and watched until it hit. It was oddly calm, but I understood watching that there was no way of escaping this.

I have no idea what caused it, but I vaguely remember thinking in my dream that it looked like a nuclear explosion, but also thinking it was WAY to big to have been that so my mind went to super volcano and it appeared to be more like what I have seen of a massive volcanic eruption wit debris raining down and a rolling cloud of destruction.

Anywho.....thats my dream!

We all have dreams and some would make husbands and wives very upset. Take a break from this site for a bit. People dont realize how deeply this site may effect them subconsciously.

That's a pretty detailed dream. And I, among others, believe there was at least one episode last year, where "3 stolen nukes" by rogue military types, were almost detonated to create an massive EMP wave to totally destroy our electronic and electrical infrastructure.

The Pentagon won't admit to anything, of course, but ordered 'studies' that found how UNsecure our nuclear weapons really are. And the Air Force continues firing everyone from serviceman to top officers for serious breaches of nuclear weapons handling protocols. (I have a discussion on this in [HOAX] if you want to read further.)

So your dream could have been a nuclear explosion to create a massive EMP wave. Your dream of the sun just dropping out of sight instead of setting, may reflect the very dark times coming if an EMP wave kills all our electronic and electricity infrastructure.

But, prophetic dreams are mostly "warnings" - not set-in-stone events destined to happen. And if you live around any Air Force bases with nuclear weapons or the aircraft to carry them, you could have picked up on "their" anxieties in your dream.

I appreciate the offer, but doubt I will be moving anytime soon. Canada is not my kinda place and if something like this comes to pass, then I would say it is my time to go.

Nah....I don't read enough of the doom porn to make anything of it....pretty skeptical about most of it. It isn't on my mind all the time like it seems it may be for others on ATS.

Being inside a house is like being in your brains command center. It represents your conscious mind, with the attic being intellect and the basement being subconscious (doesn't have to be your house either). Looking out of a window shows your outlook on life or your point of view. Water is usually representative of emotion in dreams, like 'drowning in emotion, or drowning in sorrow.' I'd venture to say if the water was between the city and your home, then there's either an emotional connection or barrier between you and what the city represents. Cities usually represent social interaction with others. Perhaps you need to interact more with others around you or you feel you are being distanced from a group or person in your life due to how far away it was and the water separating you.

The 'explosion' is tricky. If it was a volcano, that means you're having some pent up frustration with something and you're having trouble controlling it. It was rolling towards your home, so that shows it's going to be affecting you in some way. Dark clouds are never a good thing to see in a dream, as they usually denote depression or anger. Was the sunset over the city or on the other side? If it occurred near or over the city, then perhaps you're developing depression because you're not socializing or getting out as much as you'd like.

^ I dreamed that a couple of years ago. Wanting to run but it was right across the street and coming fast. Then I woke up.

One of those really memorable dream moments..

Well if its a Volcano that's going to wipe out the U.S like Yellowstone, then going to Canada won't help much except for maybe the areas close to the Arctic, A Super eruption from that Volcano would cover a massive area including a lot of Canada.

Hmm, Well I wouldn't mind a change in management, well depending to what that change is, I don't want to go from a corrupt Republic to an imperial dictator, i.e Star Wars.
