screen.yahoo.com...

This is sad on so many many levels.
There are alot of people this video shows having no idea where big chunks of the country may be.
Just sad.
I mean one guy got it.

Labeling the states isn't that important.

I am tired of these "tests" of common knowledge.

I would like to ask any of the people, interviewers, and the such if they can explain to me what managed care insurance is and how it directly has an effect on their life. Maybe ask them what the time value of money is and why it's important. Or my favorite, what the difference between an index and mutual fund is.

Not being able to locate Oregon or name the latest scam politician really isn't that important compared to some of the other things you could be filling brain space with.

Just sayin'.

Sometimes I confuse Wyoming with Colorado. The rest I can do easily.

Most Americans don't know much about geography or history. They find both utterly pointless. Education here is about practicality.

Don't you mean 60 States? Obama visited 57 of them and had 1 left to go. Adding Hawaii and Alaska makes it 60.

Just Kidding

How are you going to know anything if you don't have common knowledge? It's very important to know the country you live in..

Explain how knowing the location of the states is an important life skill that serves any purpose unless you travel a lot or are a truck driver.

I am very curious.

And you expect people to believe you know where Hawaii and Alaska are?

Just kidding.

But I bet you can't name 4 States that have their Capital Cities named after former Presidents.

Or 4 States that have their Capital City starting with the same letter as the State?

Timer starting ...... NOW...tick tick tick

New England is not a state... nor Omaha...

West Virginia IS a state... has been for a few years
We even have a Capitol and two good Division 1 schools (WVU and Marshall)

I think the point of the OP is aimed at the ignorance of Americans as to the makeup of their own nation...

Well, I figured since my country is slowing getting taken over by yours that I had better bone up on my geography of our soon-to-be puppet masters.

Apparently I need to bone up some more, lest I end up in shackles in some far off Fema camp in a state that I forgot to mention...

May I offer you a slice of apple pie and some Velveeta cheese as a peace offering ?

I'm pretty damn impressive with a beer bottle opener too.

I can reach into the beer case, crack open a brewski, and guzzle it back before anyone can say "Hey, that was my beer dammit !".
