Your typical lurker-turned-member

Hello ATS,
As the title indicates, I'm probably your typical lurker-turned-member.

I've been lurking on here for the past 5 years, checking out the ongoing discussions maybe 4-5 days a week.
I've never actually posted and participated in any discussions on here because I've always enjoyed reading and relating to other people's thoughts and ideas.

I've realized that there is no requirement of me posting stuff bi-weekly or anything like that, so I've finally decided to join you all officially.
I do, however, plan to be active on a regular basis on some boards in here.

I have a great deal of interest in mind expansion, and I do participate in activities that people will use the term 'SWIM' to describe themselves and or others doing.

I do have many interests but one of the most prominent is the war on drugs, which I believe to be a cruel set of laws made to oppress people and make sure that Big Pharma continue to dominate the market.

I particularly find the criminalization of cannabis to be a violation of human rights and I have a website that I will not link to here on ATS where I write articles about cannabis and the plant's potential both medically and recreationally.

I believe it is not up the any state to decide how it's people choose to cure themselves of any disease.
I also believe that states should avoid robbing people of basic human rights, and that we are living in a time where many (most?) states around the world use force and threats to implement their - at times - completely non-sense and ridiculous laws.

Enough about me, I hope that becoming a member on ATS will help me expand my horizon, although I'm sure there is a lot of like-minded people on here 😊!

Lurked for a couple years myself before joining-I had to train myself to tone down the fire in my comments,lol.

Now, to give stars you will notice that below the time stamp on each post is a hollow star, if the post already has stars it will be at the end of those stars. Simply click the hollow star and it will fill in! flags work the same way. Also, you might be thrown off because the intro forum doesn't allow stars.
