U S Sailors Attacked By Mob In Turkey

This sort of thing has been going on since Armies were invented. I remember during the 80's Scots troops were banned from Rose street (Edinburgh) and every boozer on it and various other boozers throughout the City....Trouble follows troops wherever they go. How many Yanks got into a fight with the Locals during the first and second WW here in the UK.??

It's a Chick thing...Over here, Over Payed and Under sexed was the saying at the time. The Locals dont like competition, well one that they cant win.

I remember in the early 90's a few mates and myself were in a boozer just outside Windsor Castle, we were playing Pool and having a quiet drink before we went for a mean...In Strolled the squaddies, one lifted a pint from our table and proceeded to walk away with it, a friend challenged him and got a punch in the mouth for his trouble. another mate who we'll call "Mad as a Mental mad man Trev" Jumped up and knocked the squaddie on his arse...then the fight really got started.

Lets just say, we held our own with the use of Bottles, Pool balls/Cue's and upturned tables. no-one died, couple of split heads. Fun times.

Lessons Learned..? Never steal a Scotsmans Pint. Like the Aussie's, he is prepared to die for that beverage.

And what about all the muslim-muslim conflicts. THe shias and sunnis have been at each others throats across the region for decades. Many of those conflicts did not involve one single western boot on the ground. Now we can bleat on about yeah but we provided blah blah but that is pathetic attempt to ignore mulim fingers pulling the trigger to kill another muslim. When we look at those figures its runs into the MILLIONS for the late 20th century to now.

Using the "death of muslims at the hands of US" is merely pathetic attempt to justify slaughter by brainwashed people with no moral compass. Shame on those who fall for that nonsense. Two wrongs do not make a right.

It is about time the total number of dead muslims shot directly by other muslims is reported.

I mean this pathetic argument is spouted forth by teenagers here in Britain who wish to "go to Syria to avenge the death of their muslim brothers and sisters at the hands of the evil US".....oh yeah by killing who ? Let me think.... Syrian Army soldiers who just happen to be ... muslims !!!! Oh and now these avengers are chopping the heads off people in villages in Syria and Iraq......muslim heads

The hypocrisy of the angry muslim knows no bounds.

A Turkish group called the Turkish Youth Union took credit for the incident. They're a Left wing (go figure), anti-Turk government, anti-EU, anti-"US imperialism", all the usual "anti" stuff. They have people in 40 different universities in Turkey.

The Sailors were "targets of opportunity", IMO.

Why is "well they kill each other do its fine that we kill them" an acceptable argument?
No one is denying they kill, doesn't give America a free pass for what they contributed.
Our war with them has cost them thousands of innocent lives that had nothing to do with it, just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
They habe every right to be mad at us, we have been tearing up the middle east for decades and damn near creating those civil wars by arming different sets of people at different times

but keep in mind that all of these conflicts are directly linked to these "wars on terror " their is a bigger picture here and the tentacles of the US and other countries are responsible for Aiding and backing GROUPS THAT KILL OTHER MUSLIMS .

No Turkey is generally a true Islamic nation anymore with loyalties to nobody. Having bases there is almost not worth it anymore. They just suck period and when they get into Trouble they will not have anyone to come to their aid.

Members of a Turkish ultra-nationalist youth organization who were taken into custody over assaulting U.S. sailors in Istanbul have been released by the prosecution.

Twelve members of the Turkish Youth Union (TGB), who were accused of attacking three U.S. Navy sailors by putting sacks on their heads on Nov. 12, were sent to Istanbul’s Çağlayan courthouse in the early hours of Nov. 13 on allegations of injuring, insult and violation of the public demonstration law.

However the prosecutor executing the investigation has released the suspects from the courthouse without taking their deposition, Doğan News Agency has reported.
