I think you are underestimating the large number of apathetic, and generally ignorant Americans that simply vote for whatever's trending most popular.

^ This pretty much sums it up.

Forget impeachment....it would take well over 2 years and give the Progs something to rally behind. Keep Otard on the golf course and defund everything and anything legislatively.

What a lot of amnesty supporters don't know is that these people send BILLIONS of dollars to their home countries. Walk into any Walmart here in California and you'll see lines of people sending money to Mexico. Not only does this destabilize our economy but it also transfers wealth away from our poor. We don't need immigration reform or new laws....simply and STRONGLY enforce the laws we have.

President Obama repeated Sunday that he intends to change U.S. immigration law through executive action, over Republican leaders’ repeated requests to wait and dire warnings about the consequences of sidestepping Congress.

“I’m going to do what I need to do,” Obama told CBS’ “Face the Nation,” in an interview taped on Friday.

This is a BIG screw you to the American People who just voted overwhelmingly to remove Obama's supporters from office. Obama is playing God by legislating from the Executive Branch. Other presidents have used EOs in the past, but none have come close to using them to legislate his agenda like the Ego-In-Chief. This man makes me physically ill.

LINK

As people lose their minds about this subject I just sit back and laugh....

You see, many of us posters here on ATS (may who are now also gone), warned about this. We warned that the power being consolidated to the executive branch would eventually be used. We tried to tell people that it wasn't the Puppet in charge you had to worry about, it was the actual power that could be used later on by some other puppet. Now it is happening and with each move on the chess board it sets a new precedent which will then be expanded on by yet another puppet that we have not seen yet. So in the end it doesnt matter if you support Obama. You need to wonder how this power will be used by some other person who you may not support, and just what they will do with it.

Do people get it yet?

I hope so, but probably not.

I actually hope Obama DOES take Executive action on the Illegal invaders.

If he does, it will be a Century before the Democrat Party sees the White House, Congress, or any Governor's seat again.

Dare him.

I would really like to know how it serves the American people, the taxpayers, to flood the country with more cheap labor to compete in an already tight labor market? Basically importing poverty and infusing it into the US. Cheap labor that will go on public assistance, that WE pay for, while they throw us under the bus to give away our jobs. How does this provide for the common good, or insure domestic tranquility? You certainly can't have tranquility when the jobs are disappearing overseas and the ones that are left will be taken by these very same illegals. And if you complain or ask questions they slap some unpleasant label on you like "socialist" or "communist". And its not a republican or democratic ussue, this has been going on for decades, promoted by both parties, and if someone were to intentionally come up with a plan to destroy the middle class and the country I doubt if they could come up with a better one than that. And now they are going to grant literally millions of Chinese visas as well. Its a familiar pattern, everyone walks away from the table with something, except the average American, who gets screwed, and we are just supposed to grin and bear it. Welcome to global feudalism, where there will be a huge roiling mass of impoverished workers and a small elite class living in opulence at the expense of the serfs. And voting does NOTHING because both parties are owned by the ruling class that wants to implement this. I wonder how much longer this will keep going on before the people have had enough?

there is a word that people forget - precedent

Let President Obama pass amnesty for 11-20 million illegals.

There will be a Republican president in 2016 if he does.

He will have set the precedent that the President can rule by EO as he sees fit. And the Democrats here should be behind that president 100% same as they are behind President Obama now.

Even if a new guy should decide to gut the social safety nets those new citizens are going to be dependent on.......

Or if the new guy decides to cut taxes on the 1% by EO .............

We used to have a system in this country for making and enforcing laws. It's gone off kilter in the last decade.

I sincerely hope Ben Carson wins, that way any decision he makes will automatically be right. Because if you disagree with Ben Carson for any reason you are obviously a racist (getting a early start LoL)

The problem is, although republicans posture that they are against this, they really arent. Look at who they are talking about running in 2016: Jeb Bush. Jeb certainly has a pro immigration stance.

[

Yes Jeb, they come to support their families, but then when enough of them come, someone HERE can't as a result. THIS is who they are going to run in 2016???

That's cool. That's 10 million people that are going to add to the unemployment rolls, probably a good 5 million to add to the food stamp rolls, and a thousand other things.

10 million? Maybe for starters but since Obama has such a big heart he insists on keeping families together meaning sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, cousins, grandma, grandpa, aunts and uncles must come too.

When all is said and done it will be more like 25 -30 million more people with few skills, little education and no birth control. Should do wonders for our unemployment rate and help keep labor costs way down. Did I mention we won't be checking their criminal histories or testing them for infectious diseases because that would be too intrusive and disrespectful?

If he can't force a North American Union on the US he'll just move Latin America Northward.

I don't understand one thing,,,, why did Barack jail those people that jumped the white house fence???
he could have allowed them to stay in a bed room next to his daughters.... when it's his home or neighborhood
things seem very very different....those people needed a place to stay too.

I want to start off that I do no care for Obama or his policies and the way he has been acting. But I do have to agree with him on legalizing immigrants.
Can someone please tell me what ARE the cons of millions of people coming to the USA. All I keep seeing is people afraid of them living off of state aid and taking jobs. But with a green card you are not aloud to apply for state aid ONLY us citizens can. You can only become a full out citizen once you have your green card/permanent residency card for 5 years and they don't just give it to you. You have to pass a test and pay money. Heck they cant even sign up for obummercare until they are citizens.

As for them taking our jobs? Really? Ever heard of a resume? They will not be taking the jobs of doctors or business professionals and they may even have a hard time even getting work in retail. They will be doing the jobs that no one wants. And if they do begin to start to take the entry level jobs. Then maybe the US born citizens who have access to education and aid resources should get off their lazy butt and aim for a better job.

So please if anyone can point me to the real downside Id really like to know.

On a plus side the influx of millions of people determined to work, start a new life, and make a living for themselves would greatly increase our economy.

I come from a family of formerly illegal immigrants, and I must say that what he "needs to do" is open, or dare I say dissolve, the boarder. Not just US, but all borders.

People who immigrated legally, learned the language of the land. It wasn't until years of massive illegal immigration where we had to start pressing one for English and even had to speak Spanish in many areas in order to get hired for a job that had nothing to do with international business or interpretation.

I can't believe that some people still think that illegals are only taking jobs that citizens won't do! How about construction jobs that used to pay really well? Plenty of people wanted those jobs. When ICE used to do raids on companies and deported illegals, every single position was quickly and easily filled by citizens. Obviously citizens wanted or were willing to do those jobs!

I am so sick of people calling citizens lazy. I have worked beside many illegals and they are no different than anyone else. Some were hard workers and some weren't.

As for state aid...all it takes is a stolen identity or false documents.
I knew illegal women who would work and their husbands worked under the table. They would claim a one income household and get food stamps, medical and cheap housing. All the while their combined income was well above poverty level.

If you can't see the negative impact of illegal immigration, perhaps you should inform yourself better.

Oh yeah, let's just let anyone in without a health or background check. Let in the diseased, pedophiles, murderers, thieves, gang members etc just waltz in.

FOX news now reporting that Obama set to issue EO next week on immigration. I doubt we'll see any news on the other MSM outlets since they have not said word one about stupid Americans kept in the dark.

I can only think that the EO has been pretty much ready to go and just waiting for the elections to be over before putting it forth.

Obama is trying to get us and our reps focused on something other than investigating the corruption rampant in his administration. This immigration EO is a threat or a ploy, a red herring, imo, to keep the focus away from something else....ust the way I'm reading it.
