Please do tell how the highway system came back to bite us. You

Completey ignore the rest of that post ?

The GASOINE tax ?

Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?

The state, and the federal government makes billions off those.

WHAT HAPPENS with that evil fossil fuel GAS is gone ?

I know a 'new tax!!!

Do Highway Users Pay for the Highway System? Not Even Close.

As I said try again. Besides aren't you going off topic? Why yes you are.

You said and I quote.

"Please by all means list any government 'accomplishment' that hasn't come back and bite us in the snip."

The interstate highway system is an accomplishment of the federal government so tell us how it has come back to bite us NEO or do you want to ramble on to how it is funded ignoring your original statement/question?

What's really funny is that I know quite a few Christian conservatives, and the majority of them even believe that we may have played a part in rising CO2 levels and must make changes to ensure that we do not continue down that road.

Why is that a partisan political issue? Shouldn't we want to pollute less and make sure that we don't screw things for those that come after were gone?

Oh, I forgot....only commies believe in that sort of stuff. My bad.

It does matter. Change can start with people like you and me.

And how are you so different Beezzer? You're good at pointing that judgy finger at everyone else when you do exactly the same thing! Don't you think you're right in your positions? Don't you want people in government that agree with your positions? I've been reading you for 3 or 4 years and you're quite clear on which side your political bread is buttered, but you always want to point the finger at others .

Do me a favor, walk to a mirror, and point in the direction you're facing: that's where you can start to make a difference.

Want to know the big difference between you and me?

I'll readily admit I might be wrong on any number of issues.

Can you do the same?

George Will called it “the most successful public works program in the history of the world."

For who ?

The US government that gave itself the ability to mass mobile the military, and gave itself thousands of airstrips.

'Successful' eh.

For the entire country unless you are a hermit that has never traveled on one or received anything by truck which I would say your computer that you are using now has most likely been on.

So please explain how it came back to bite us. You can't can you?
