I Still Have Time

The moon is clouded, just barely there,
The smell of night, permeates the air.
The stars sit in the sky, perfectly aligned,
I sit and watch quietly, I still have time.

As the dark slowly gives way to the light,
Fading from night to day just right,
And the sun starts to take its hold,
I sit and watch its secrets unfold.

And when the people begin to stir,
And the city starts it fast paced blur,
I sit and watch as the world wakes up,
While sipping hot coffee from my cup.

Silently I watch the night fade away,
Get ready to start my work filled day,
I see the sun rise.. it's so sublime,
I grab more coffee, I still have time.
