Some moderators have their moderator indicator almost blurred to obscurity...

While others have it proudly and crisply displayed.

What's the deal???

Some of them are stealth moderators.... you have to watch out for them, they steal people's coffee...

(looks for DTOM, or Heff, or Keeper..... )

I'd find it pretty conducive to their personality.

Unless I'm having a tin foil hat night.

Heff can't touch my coffee! I hide it when I'm on line.

I guess it all depends on the colors of the background, even as a staff member we can not change the color of the Mod tags, Though we do try to keep them visible.

But it doesn't look like it's hidden in the background; it looks all smudged and untidy. Almost as if they are trying to hide their position as moderator.

How about a screen grab posted? Then we can see which ones you're talking about.

As in the title of the OP, it's just something I've noticed. Mild curiosity not really something warranting a screen grab or an in depth investigation.

Undercover mods. Haven't you ever watched the Mod Squad? Watch the ones with the frizzy hair.

I usually don't drink my coffee black unless it is cold coffee. I don't think I have to worry about skeptic taking it more than once.

the blurryness derives from the slight shadow effect on the moderator tag. If the background color isn't in a decent contrast against that shadow, then you will end up with a blurry tag.

Ive tried a few effects to help with it, but the best effect is either bright colors, or dark colors. either embrace the shadow, or outright hide it.

My 2 cents learned by designing avatars.
