Question in general: If a house with a ghost in it burns down, will the ghost pass on? (assuming they exist) Or will it remain wandering the premise?

He doesn't look as though he's in any pain, just standing there.

What if the spirit was there before the house was built or … just visiting?

Do we know if someone died in the house?

Or is it just a phone app…

Pareidolia? Or a ghost looking out the window? I know which explanation is more likely.

Look, in ghost-window photos, until they are making duck lips or pornographic poses, I'm going to put my money on pareidolia or hoax nearly every time.

Excactly, every time. Especially since "ghosts" aren't real anyway.

From the link:

If ghosts exist and can be scientifically detected or recorded, then we should find hard evidence of that — yet we don't.

If ghosts exist and cannot be scientifically detected or recorded, then all the photos, videos and other recordings claimed to be evidence of ghosts cannot be ghosts.

It doesn't get much simpler than that.

Apparently, there has also been some professional photographic analysis done on the image…and photo-manipulation was ruled out.

I'd love to read that analysis if you have a link…

About 42 seconds into this video, the group talks briefly about analysis of the photo by NOLO Digital Film in Chicago. The technician there says he worked from the High resolution version of the photo.

The Gary Indiana Fire Fighter gives his name as Douglas Tipold.
As stated in the article:
"As Tipold was waiting for his partners to unravel a hose he snapped a few shots of the burning house with the camera on his cell phone to document the scene."
There probably was not much the guy could have done to fight the fire until the hose was set up, so why not take some pics?

I know. I was waiting for him to show that hi res version and he does but disappointingly enough he changes the contrast and outlines the "figure" as he sees it.

I wished they would have just showed the hi res version dammit. So maybe thats a clue that the hi res original is "too revealing"?

Anyway, his "retouched" pic…

Compared to the pic I made from the YouTube on page 1…

Thanks for bringing the analysis. Dude claims it wasnt "messed with"… and then messes with the Hi res version himself… Oh well.

Still waiting for some more ATS pros to settle this.

Thanks we all know how much effort you put into pissing in others cheerios.

Besides sarcasm and "borrowing" others work, I mean.

Pareidolia (/pærɨˈdoʊliə/ parr-i-DOH-lee-ə) is a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (often an image or sound) being perceived as significant. Common examples include seeing images of animals or faces in clouds, the man in the moon or the Moon rabbit, and hearing hidden messages on records when played in reverse.

Hey IAMTA,

the jury is still out on your ghost pic, I notice.

Too bad someone couldn't find an app or otherwise debunk it. Am I missing something?

regards,
